The shoulder bone is connected to the...knee bone!

    So silly.

"We have no regrets whatsoever," Idzik said.

He's either delusional, a jerk, a bad liar, or all of the above.

my issue isn't with mcdougle. (i actually thought he looked decent.) it's that you could probably have gotten him in the 6th round when you still have an impotent offense that can't score any damn points and you also passed on a legit day 1 starter in Darqueze Dennard in round 1.

the guy was coming off a serious shoulder injury in college. his senior year tape consisted of 2 games. in the post-draft presser, all they could do was talk about how Maryland named some sportsmanship / team leadership award after him.

The jets failed to trade up in the draft we all know that they even admired it we shouldn't have kept 12 picks. But wasn't such a bad draft as you people portrait.

Of course, I can see the point now, had the Jets traded up in the draft, it would have prevented our two major injuries ,the torn ACL and the injury to our WR. The only delusional element is to think 2014 was a bad draft for Pete's sake. A Superb safety and very promising TE as starters. We already lost two TALENTED rookies to injuries so never underestimate the value of extra picks. Further, thinking McDougle would have been available in the 6 round is borderline insane.
Good some people will never be happy. Had Tanny been in charge he would have extended Cro till he was fifty playing on one leg .

What a joke of a draft class for idzik. 4th rounder gone, another 4th rounder was really struggling and is out for year, 5th rounder gone. No standouts.

So far this guy has drafted one quality guy in two years (Richardson)

Calvin Pryor sucks ass... I can't stand that bum.

And that bust Amaro? Man, why does he even dress up? Ya know what I mean?

By the way, pass that joint, man. I need some of that stuff; as you can see, I ran out a while ago.

RB is where the value is in drafts these days. Teams like the Bengals (Gio, Jeremy Hill), Patriots (Vereen), and 9ers (Carlos Hyde) have been smartly stockpiling talent on the cheap.

We never seem to get a guy like this. (The one time we did -- Danny Woodhead -- we cut him for Joe McKnight and all the scouting effort that went into that ends up benefitting NE and SD...)

Whereas teams like the Saints and Chargers are continually able to pluck late round / UDFA diamonds from the rough.

Antonio Gates said Branden Oliver is "Sproles, with more power."

Oliver is just 5-foot-8 and wears No. 43, so the Darren Sproles comparisons are inevitable. But he's able to lower his head and move the pile inside, something he did repeatedly against the Jets No. 1 run defense Sunday. It's no fluke. Oliver went 310-1535-15 for the University at Buffalo last season, earning first-team All-Mac honors. After going undrafted, he beat out sixth-rounder Marion Grice for a roster spot. Now Oliver is ahead of Donald Brown (day to day, concussion) and threatening for a significant weekly workload. Starter Ryan Mathews (knee) is still roughly 1-2 weeks away. Oct 7 - 10:38 AM

If he hadn't torn his ACL he'd just be getting toasted as a nickel or backup corner by Emmanuel Sanders / Welker / Julius Thomas this Sunday.

You don't take a "talent" nobody else is interested in who's also coming off a serious shoulder injury in the 3rd round when more talented WRs and CBs are still on the board.

Oliver is average at best a depth backup so just stop with the Sproles bullshit. He had one 50 yard run that he woulda been tackled after like 5 yards except we got held bad and it wasn't called. Then he had like a 15 yd run up the middle for a TD where nobody touched him. Without that 50 yarder he'd have like 19 carries for 70 yards against a quitting defense that was on the field for 40 minutes and nobody would give a shit about him.

He's got one more year. Its going to be an unbelievably huge year for him. Next season he'll more than likely bring in his own coach, have a ton of cap space, and have a very high draft pick.

If the Jets look as bad next year as they do now, I dont see how you can keep Johnny Boy around.
