I have a buddy who is one of the eternally optimistic fans...he's a Bills fan and he is 100% convinced that the Bills are going to win the division and not just squeak by but win it fairly easily. Just saying.

Teams without good quarterbacks usually don't fare well in rankings.

I believe with Rex gone that will change. IMO, Rex pissed them off with his antics and silly challenges.

How the he11 did the Jets "overachieve" at 4-12 in 2014 after they finished 8-8 in 2013?

And any good that did happen is credited to the brilliance of Rex Ryan? WTH?

I see where that writer is coming from now. Garbage article.

The article only ranked the receiving corps with two stars(?)

Also gave more stars to the defense but underplayed the star ranking a bit there too

The Qb situation is screwing up the team. After that the OL. Turns everyone off

    Still hopefull for 8-8

    Am I expecting a miracle?

Nobody on this board would bitch about 8-8 with a Rookie HC working with a new OC. Two new systems being installed as well makes for a lot of moving parts. If they can double their win total from last season, I'd consider that a successful season.

    Oh no!
No need to play the season now. Let's get ready for the 2016 draft guys. Who do you guys think we're getting?

First time post, but i belive the defense is most likely to play lights out. If that is the case, then if the offense, can just not stall or give the game away, we should get 9 to 11 wins. Whether it is Smith or Fitz at the helm. Go Jets!!!

That was my low point last season... Jumping out of my seat and yelling for Delanie walker or whoever the fuck it was to score a TD...

I have to disagree. 8-8 for the rookie HC in NY would be a disappointing season. Especially with all the talent this team has.

Heck, who was the last NYJ rookie HC to have less than 9 wins? It didn't happen this century.

There's 100 football seasons in a century, were only 14 in.

I just want to feel some type of semblance i am feeling right now for the METS in December with the jets. Some fight. Some excitement. Some offense! Some wins! I have a pretty good feeling on the group but i can be a optimist especially in August ;P

Are you talking about Penn State's QB? If so, based on his play to date, no we shouldn't. He has some potential, but he's been pretty bad.

I take these things with a grain of salt........ We are always told we suck...... Even when we made 2 AFC championship games in a row, people told me the Jets suck......

Vegas lines are not really a prediction of outcome but instead the amount of spread that would generate equal betting interest to both outcomes.

Right, but they make a living on that number being in the middle, and that is almost always the best gauge on what will happen. Nobody knows what will happen, especially most writers, but vegas lines are uncanny in the way they predict outcomes, across the board. Not too many people beat the odds in the long run.
