SO predictable: -NE wins on a late controversial call because the refs are terrible. Pittsburgh whines all offseason. -GB wins in a stupid 41-38 type game with no defense, no physical play. Maybe Matt Ryan chokes it away late. GB-NE Superbowl, Rodgers wins it late for GB and ZOMG all offseason he's called the greatest QB in the milky way galaxy by every idiot on TV, radio, and in the newspapers.
If it is NE vs GB - I will not watch the Superbowl for the first time in I do not know how long. If it happens the commentators better be celibate for the 2 week lead up because they will be jerking off every possession. I just know it is going to happen but rooting hard for Pitt and especially Atlanta.
Will be interesting here for NE. They have gotten really lucky in that they haven't faced diddly squat in terms of good QBs this year. They have faced some truly shitty QBs. The best they faced was Russell Wilson and they lost. other than that its like Flacco? even we beat him. Andy Dalton? ehhh Tyrod Taylor? ehhhh Roethlisberger followed by Rodgers/Ryan. That's what they are looking at - - and that's a just a bit of a step up from the Ryan Fitzpatricks, Matt Moores, Jared Goffs, Bryce Pettys, Charlie Whitehursts, Landry Joneses and Brock Osweilers X2 of the world (QBs they've faced).
Steelers over Patriots Packers over Falcons SUPER BOWL LI Steelers vs. Packers This sets up a rematch between the Packers and Steelers from Super Bowl XLV played 6 years ago in Dallas, Texas.
Try imagining us with a good QB instead of hating the best in the business. Jealousy will destroy you! I think it will be NE and Atlanta, because Pitt just doesn't match up well against NE and never has, Brady destroys that zone defense, and Atlanta because they are hungrier and can put up infinite points against that bad GB defense. And McCarthy's game management blunders are past due to bite him in the ass. Ron
I mean, PIttsburgh is 14-11 against New England all time but what do I know. I just look up stats before making random statements like that.
Not much apparently. In the Belichick/Brady era the Pats are 9-3 vs the Steelers (going back to 2002) and one of the losses was in 2008 when Brady was out for the year.
Brady is 5-1 with a passer rating north of 120 against the Mike Tomlin Steelers BUT......Brady/Belichick have lost a total of 9 playoff games, and all 9 of those losses were against teams they played against during the regular season....get your popcorn ready....
Brady is 7-2 in the regular season against Pitt, 2-0 in the playoffs. I don't care what the Pats did in 1975. http://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/B/BradTo00/gamelog/?opp_id=pit Ron
