I'd love to hear the reason behind the JMill cut. I don't know if he's healthy or not, just a problem player, or is just plain god awful atrocious, but is he that much worse than Lowery, Coleman, Smith, Poteat, Iheidgo (sp?) and Law??? At the least, he is one of the best KO returners. was really hoping he'd turn it around this year. so much for that. just hope no one in the AFC signs him (which I'm sure someone will asap).
Good, now he can focus more on the defense of the civil suit against him, following the allegations that he hit a woman and then hid like a little girl behind some parked cars in a garage.
Because while I do this all the time in Madden, it would be silly to risk hurting Revis during a KR IMO. Also, I agree with seeing him signed by the pats and suddenly becoming a super star, just what seems to happen as players go to the pats. Im calling JM to the pats and next year will be in the pro bowl!
Not all that supprising. The kid did not have the football smarts to handle a NFL defense. A very good physical talent who will probly find a home as a return specialist elsewhere.
Yes he is. Lowery might have struggled a little the last few games (he is still a rookie), but he has been a ballhawk most of the year. He has shown and done more as a CB in his first 9 games than Miller did his entire career. As for KO, we have Washington.
Watch him become a shut down corner for the PATS. i'm sure something like that will happen w/ our luck
Dude c'mon, he was stuck on the depth chart behind some really good corners and an pro bowl caliber return guy. He's still trying to learn how to play football at the pro level and we have the luxury of not having to ask him to make even a miniscule contribution to the team at this point since our defense is so good without him. Besides, remember so-and-so 7th round pick? He sucked forever and now he's awesome. Like most horrible Jets fans you only focus on the negatives. If only we had a little more patience with Miller he would've turned the corner. [/sarcasm]
Didn't we trade our first pick for Doug Jolly, Nuge and Miller and an extra late pick we used to trade down in the 4th for Rhodes. After Nuge is cut this will look like one of the great trades of all time.
How is it that we have to give corners "Time" to develop? Lowery showed more this year than Miller ever had, and Revis is light years beyond where Miller will ever be. How much more time were you willing to give Miller to show that he had the "it" factor? Can't we just agree that Miller was a reach in the 2nd round, of questionable character and that he didn't have the physical skills or mental acumen to bring his college game to the pro level?
Wow, I didn't see this coming. Like most of us, I felt like every year was going to be the year he finally flashed his true potential. i remember how psyched I was that we got him in the 2nd round after a lot of people projected us picking him in the first. Now we'll probably cut Nugent and that draft class (what was it, 2005?) will forever live in infamy.
Yes, we can. It's sad, but yes, you're correct. Is there anyone left who will still defend the Hermway era?
Note the [/sarcasm]. I agree with you and feel the same way about Gholston, which is why I made the joke.
Every high draft pick isn't going to be a star, that's just life. It does offer some perspective to people who want to call D'Brickashaw a bust when he's started every game of his career at left tackle. This is what a bust is, not Brick.
