I don't buy the article, but on another note, I was in the car a few minutes ago and on Boston sports radio there were callers suggesting that the Patriots trade Brady and franchise Matt Cassell. Can you imagine? The Patriots thinking that they can franchise our next quarterback?! The nerve.
Be careful. Scott Mitchell looked good in 1993 when he took over for Dan Marino. Similar to Cassel, Mitchell was in a good system and had a top flight head coach. Mitchell then went on to sign a big contract with the Lions that offseason and had one good season. Cassel looks good at times, but I don't know if anybody really knows what'd he do for another team.
I doubt this. Unless they interview James Andrews, who actually did the surgery, then I don't believe this. Injuries are a strange thing. Pennington and Brees were expected to come back. Brady might not have the mobility he once had, but after an ACL tear and infection, there should be no reason why he can't play.
Cassel has shown he can't throw the deep ball accurately, but in a west coast system, there should be no reason why he can't be successful.
GM - this isn't a shot at you, but how do we know that the guy who wrote this isn't some loser living in his mom's basement? It isn't exactly a reputable site, and it has no on the record sources. Anonymous doctors? Come on...
Who cares? Football players get hurt and end their careers all the time. That is why the average career is still less than 3 years. Let Boston hold a wake.
Just when we thought you couldn't make a more stupid comment than your last. Who cares if Brady's career is over? Really?
I don't buy it. Knowing the Patsies luck he will return to MVP form within at least a season. And if he doesn't Cassel will likely come in and be a future hall of famer.
Bingo.... I can start a blog and say with "sources" telling me that Roger Clemens is making a comeback to prove he didn't do the juice.
I don't know, I think FireManginiEd is making a late-year run. Now if there was an award for "most uninformed poster that doesn't even know it"...
