"F--- L.A."- worn on shirt of Broncos fan from Raiders at Broncos 9/6/92 Week 1 Sunday Night game "T.O. Has B.O."- sign behind end zone from Eagles at Browns 10/24/04 game and Cowboys at Browns 9/7/08 game "F--- Da Eagles"- worn on shirt of Saints fan from Eagles at Saints 1/13/07 Divisional playoff game "John Fox is a Fox"- sign seen at Cardinals at Panthers 1/10/09 Divisional playoff game
That 1992 L.A. Raiders vs. Broncos game was pretty good. It was Eric Dickerson's first game with the Raiders. The Broncos won 17-13. The teams combined to complete a very low number of passes. Raiders linebacker Winston Moss received a 15-yard penalty for violently pushing John Elway after the QB was clearly out of bounds following a scramble. Moss pushed Elway so hard that he slid under the Broncos bench and landed into that rickety fence they had at Mile High Stadium. In the second half of the game, there was a shot of some Denver fans and TV viewers could clearly see a fan wearing a shirt that read "Fuck L.A."
"Romo's a Homo/Dallas Sucks" Seen at opening day of baseball season in Philadelphia. They start early down there.
I chose "Other." Best sign I have ever seen in the stands was when Ricky Williams made one of his earlier comebacks from smoking the cheeba, it was in "John 3:16"-style - "Ricky 4:20".
Across sports, I think the best ever is from the 1999 Stanley Cup finals in Buffalo. Modano: Wrist Injury Hull: Groin Injury Coincidence?
thursday nite bcs game a kid held a sign that read"superman wears tim tebow underwear" i think it might have been a chuck norris joke but i though it was funny.in the nfl the ricky 4:20 gets my vote
Ummm, no mention for the Jessica masks in Tampa? It may not be an official sign but seeing that was hilarious.
The one I remember most was a Phins at Buffalo game around 1973 or 74? It read Miami's got oranges but we got the Juice! Not quite as intellectually stimulating as F*** da Eagles but memorable to me.
The problem is that I created the thread at 2:03 in the morning. This was really supposed to be the Best Juvenile NFL Sign. Several of us were writing about signs in another thread, so I decided to make a poll. Not a big deal, though. This was meant to be a silly thread. From a quality standpoint, a sign seen at Super Bowl 9 (it can be seen on NFL Films' Super Bowl 9 film) is my favorite. Made by a Vikings fan, it read "Minnesota Iron Meets Pittsburgh Steel" and showed a purple gorilla pounding an anvil. Other great signs- from a Washington at Duke basketball game in the 1980s- "UW Basketball: As American as Apple Streudel" (Detlef Schrempf and another German were on the UW squad at the time) I never saw the sign and I may not have that verbatim. It may have started "Washington Basketball" or "Washington" or simply "UW" Another good college basketball sign was "Patrick Ewing Can't Read This Sign". Again, I didn't see that sign. I only heard about it. Supposedly it was held up by a St. John's fan.
