I can dream right? The Jets need to sign this guy STAT. Great hands, good speed, excellent 3rd down receiver, can receive the ball over the middle, was on pace to catch 100 balls on that absolute sh^thole of a team until he got injured. Only question mark is said (back or hamstring?) injury from last season. I absolutely love this guy.

    Pass.

I honestly think that Cotch can play on his level if given the opportunity.

houshmandzata is nothing special... Tell me one team thats scared of facing him.....

Boldin or houshmandzata thats an easy choice id rather save the money and spend it on a guy like suggs, nnandi, bart scott, or dunta robinson

    court adjourned

I said the same thing this morning, but evidently the guys in the other thread have it all figured out.

I'm more worried about freeing up cap space than signing guys, but I feel strongly for signing Housh.

Why can't we see what we have in Clowney or Stuckey? I'm hoping next year we'll see one of them emerge, just like Cotchery kind of came out of nowhere after Herm the Idiot didn't let him play one down his rookie year.

Given a choice I would take Antonio Bryant over TJ.

Housh does not excite me at all. He has good speed? I think he's another pssession reciever, and we have two of those already in Cotch and Coles. He would be Just Another Player.

We likely would not have the cap space, but, I can dream.... If AZ loses Dansby to FA... could our #1 pick and say a Bryan Thomas bring in dare I say... Boldin?

I have to think the Cards want to be rid of him... he's complained about his contract for 2 years, had that shouting match with the OC in the NFC Championship game, he HAS to be on the block, especially since AZ still has Fitz, Breaston and Urban.

If we can lose Favre, get Thomas' cap money back, save on not signing a first round pick.... is it possible? The offesne would go from ho-hum to explosive overnight, even with a young QB.

He's a very good reciever while playing opposite a healthy Chad Johnson and catching passes from a healthy Carson Palmer.

He's an average reciever that demands no extra attention from a defense, and who would would be relatively unknown without those other two pieces in place.

I'll pass on a guy that made a name for himself while benefitting from constant single coverage due to Ocho Cinco grabbing all the double-teams, and then dissappearing when his counterpart was out. Not to mention he's on the backside of his career, and over the past 5 seasons, his yards per catch have gone down every season.

Not to mention we already have a WR in Housh's exact mold in Jericho Cotchery.

I meant Housh. I think we have a lot of promising WRs and the only thing we don't have in the WR department is a tall endzone-threat type player. Boldin isn't that player, but I'd still be A-Ok with seeing him a Jet.

I think it would be very difficult to get Housh unless Cincy decides to completely clean house. If the Jets could get him for a reasonable price, I'd be all about it. He's way better than Coles.

He was given the chance and didn't deliver.

    TJ is a better WR.

Houshmandzadeh would be a stupid move. We have two possession receivers in Coles and Cotchery, even though Coles does have speed.

Houshmandzadeh is at least 6'1", but he's purely a possession receiver, too. The problem with our offense is that we don't have a big play WR. TJ isn't that.
