I would love to have Ray Lewis on this team. Sure, he is getting up there in age but no one plays this game with more intensity and demands more from the players around him.

I firmly believe that Ray Lewis is the greatest LB of all-time and is still playing at a high level.

 

That is cutting ALOT of players and depth. And the 18 million saved is a smoke screen being that you have to resign a bunch of players. Perhaps at reduced salary (but alot of those are at the league minimum already I think) so that will reveal the true savings.

 

I have to imagine that there would be a fair amount of dead money on that list to bring down that savings total.

 

Those figures are the savings after dead money is considered.

 

Did you figure what it was going to cost to fill those roster spots. You cannot just leave them open.

 

That said, I wouldn't cut Moore or Bowens.

 

No, I'm not even advocating cutting all those players, I'm just saying that there are cuts that can be made if needs be.

 

Or Turner, invaluable OT depth and good for the goal line "jumbo" set. Unsung hero if you ask me.

 

Well in that case you can cut anybody. But it could end up hurting the team.

 

Fortunately they pay guys to make these decisions.
