Nobody would half a brain would say that..not when all three, Ryan, Tannenbaum and Johnson say it isn't. Only fools would say it is. Then again, maybe only the fools don't understand what final say means. He makes the picks, he makes the deals, he makes the decisions..simple really.
I'm fine with a trade like this. To me the fair offer for Cutler in terms of just picks is two firsts and a third. But that's not going to happen because I believe Denver is absolutely going to want a player back whether he be another QB or a defensive standout. But where can they get a QB? Cutler certainly isn't a "Mangini" type player and I'd actually be quite surprised if the Browns got involved, save for a three way type deal WHICH never happens in the NFL. San Fransisco has Alex Smith to dangle, and by dangle I mean dangle like a dingleberry because he sucks. So where does this leave the Jets? They don't have a QB of note to offer Denver. So it's going to cost a defensive starter since we're a 3-4 team and the Broncos are switching that way. I'm not giving up Revis. I'm not giving up Rhodes. I'm not giving up Jenkins. Scott isn't available because we just signed him so the cap implications would be insane. Really that leaves the main tradeable asset to be Harris. I know alot of people have their problems with Cutler. He's a baby. He's a dick. He's a whiner. He's only .500 in career record. All somewhat valid points. He's also far and away one of the most talented Quarterbacks in the game today and he's 25. 25! His best football is still forthcoming. I like Harris alot, and I love the versatility at inside linebacker that him and Scott present, but the Jets as an organization should not be allowed to say they let David Harris come between getting a franchise quarterback. Cutler's a QB to build the team around. And he won't put up the rediculously gaudy numbers he put up in Denver. But he'll have good pieces around him to grow as the New York Jets FRANCHISE QB. A FRANCHISE Qb. Something the team hasn't had since Namath.
I'd love to be a "fly on the wall" in Xanders' office right now (Broncos' GM)....just to see what kind of offers are coming his way.
No, they say he has final say on personnel decisions, but they all say it's a collective effort. Nice try...again. Back on topic... I would be ok with giving up Harris, but definitely not Revis. They spent all offseason tweaking the defensive secondary and then to turn around and give up their best DB? I just can't see them doing it. It's easier to find an ILB than it is to find a top 5 CB.
What is so hard for you to understand here? He makes the decisions. Do you have a job? Do you work where decisions have to be made? Is there somebody in charge of makingf those decisions? It is not a collective effort. It is not a democracy. Tannenbaum makes the decision. Yes he listens to input and then he does what he thinks best. They don't take a vote. Period.
I am going to puke again. B Thomas is not worth anything in a trade (and you know that, that is why everyone on here is so willing to throw him in).
Tannenbaum has to be nuts to do this trade. Is he smoking something? P.S. Or is it another April Fool's day trick? It'd better be!
BTW, are you gay too. I don't think that is the first time you have been obsessed with sucking pricks.
It is a collective effort because they have said it is a collective effort. You really have no fucking clue, about a lot of things. Just stop now before you win your 2009 award early this year.
