My prediction: Jones easily finishes top 15 in touchdowns and total yds.

    Who gives a shit?

Well, I would, IF AND ONLY IF that top 15 listing actually determines who wins the SB that year.

Jones is a Top 15 back imo. He probably won't put up top 15 type "Fanstasy" stats next year. Jones and Ronnie Brown are in the same boat, both are top 15 backs, but neither will put up top 10 "fanstasy" numbers, with Jones probably splitting alot of carries with Washington and Greene, and Brown splitting with Williams and Cobbs. It's a goot thing though imo, if you still can get the same production, then who cares about stats. I'd much rather have my RB's splitting carries and having the same production as a RB who gets most of the carries and puts up top 5 "Fantasy" numbers. Production is production, and I'd much rather it occur with 2-3 different backs, helping to keep them healthy and fresh.

That's basically how I feel. Jones did well last season, but we had a threat at QB where teams could not stack the box like they did against Chad, and Jones benefited. I think that his production will taper off due to less respect in the passing game and also the sharing of carries with a guy that can actually challenge strong defenders at the goal line. He definitely won't have near as many TDs.

that list was made off star power and big names for the most part. really no credibility behind it whatsoever

why matt forte is on there i have no idea (especially at the top of the list). i like him and slaton but they won't have the season jones has.

most of these analysts are always dead wrong anyways

You do realize, as rookies, both Slaton and Forte finished less then 100 yards behind Jones last year. 6th and 7th respectivly in rushing for the NFL. Add to that they are not crossing into the dreaded 30+ range for running backs. It makes sense, if your doing a projection, that they should have similar to better years and Jones to take a step back.

Forte's offense got a good deal better in the offseason with the addition of Jay Cutler. No more 8 in the box every play because now Chicago should have a passing threat. I don't know about #2 overall but I could understand a jump in production for him.

Jones should see less carries this year. Most people are pulling for Leon to get more and there is no way the Jets take Greene where they did and do not hand him 4 to 7 carries a game. Jones averaged slightly over 18 carries a game last season. I would expect that to dip to 12-15 this year.

Why would a fantasy football article have anything to do with the SB. Its a stats projection. Nothing more, nothing less.

I love RESPECT threads... it reminds me of when my daughters were born and your standing outside the room looking in at all the babies and one starts whining, and next thing you know 15 others join in.

We will be lucky if TJ doesn't suffer a season ending injury this year and manages to pull off another big stat season at all. Throw in the question marks at QB and WR and there is good reason not to expect much.

This is a Fantasy ranking. As such it makes a lot of sense to me, with Washington also on the team. Expect Washington to get more than a few of the TD (and yards) that TJ might otherwise get.

Seriously, it's hard for me to do little more than quibble about minor points of that list.

As a Dolphins fan it's nice to see Ronnie Brown at #15. We're not used to getting any respect and Ronnie I've thought is an underrated player.

As for Thomas Jones he's a good running back but watching the games last year he's not the Jets RB i'm concerned about. Leon Washington is really good. He gashed my Phins hard on some plays last year. Honestly you guys probably could have a strong running game with Leon and Shonne Green. But hey if you guys want to keep Thomas Jones and use him instead of trading him for something else and using the talented Washington I will not complain. :)

Brown has always been a good back behind a shitty line. If the Phins keep imporving and building the way Parcells builds teams he will put up good stats.
