He's referring to the fact that Exit 117 used to have similar meltdowns/tirades as a Mets fan.

What a turnaround in that game. 10-1 in the 7th inning stretch. One inning and four relievers later, it's 10-11.

Ah. I rarely if ever go into Met threads so that flew over my head.

It wasn't a compliment, but I think you know that.

Turns out the rain did play a big part as it took Smoltz out. I just watched the highlights.

I seem to recall you calling people all sorts of names when that video of someone laughing at Ovechkin taking out his own teammate was posted.

It's not anything as far as I'm concerned. I don't know how 117 acts in Met threads, and to be honest I don't really care. If it was meant as an insult it certainly is a pretty lame one.

This reminds me a lot of this game: http://www.baseball-reference.com/boxes/BOS/BOS200306280.shtml

Shit like this happens from time to time. The 114 win 2001 Seattle Mariners blew a 14-2 lead one time. I only wish this happened to the Yankees.

Not only because its funny when this happens to a rival playing a shit team, but also because the outrage and proclamations of doom from Alio and others would be priceless.

    1. I saw one Yankee fan "chirping" in here about the game. And it was a game he was watching. I haven't seen any "Haw haw, the Sox lost!" posts.

    2. I have personally never made the claim on here that Sox fans are unclassy, but as a resident of Boston, I would heartily agree with that statement. Most Sox fans ARE unclassy.

22-4 is alot different than 10-1 lead then lose 11-10. Atleast I would say so. But it doesn't matter.

Why do I get brought up? Shit, all I've done today is ask about stats sites. I never come into Sox threads (though I did read this one after seeing the mentions of it in the Yankees thread.)

Shit happens. You lost. You're still in first place right?

BTW: I still proclaim doom for the Yankees, and the Rays coming on strong lately isn't making me feel any better. They're so young and talented. I don't really have the time right now, but otherwise I'd post the lineup so you could see how young and talented they are.

Seriously though, the Yankees beating up on the Mets and getting by Seattle isn't exactly making me think they're playoff-bound.

It's no different at all. Both were embarrassing losses to inferior teams.

I read through the entire Sonsofsamhorn game thread for last night's game, full of level-headed, generally pretty intelligent fans, and some of the reactionary posts from that made me pee a little bit. Last night I was sort of pissed, now I just think the whole ordeal is hilarious.

They clearly had packed it in. The entire infield ran off the field in the 6th I think after the 2nd out. They probably were getting stoned and eating pot brownies during the delay.

I'm just saying that if the Yankees had pulled this off, say just after the Nats and Fenway series(s?), their would be mayhem in the Yankees thread. Games like that drive fans who ARE optimistic about a team's long term chances to the brink.

    Heh, I hear you.

And I wasn't freaking out by being named. I'm bipolar, and it comes out a lot on these boards. It's funny, people get a laugh out of it. I get bent sometimes about it, but once I calm down, it's all good. If you look, there should be a thread in this forum about me having a heart attack or something. I went bonkers there. Good times.

    again.

Are you attempting to call that "chirping" or whining? Either way, you're wrong. Again. Shocker.

And you really need to lighten the fuck up, Francis.
