I'm pretty sure VB was using a line from Ace Ventura.

Anyway, this is a shocking tragedy. Air McNair was a true gladiator of the NFL.

Until I saw this I was coming off a fun 24 hour period living in a bubble of 4th fun. Upon getting home the first two things I see are this, and then a report that 8 people, all under the age of 30, died in 4 different accidents in eastern Mass last night. Life (and death) is so absurd.

I remember watching McNair scrambling around in the super bowl ten years ago so well. And I saw him play a tough game in the the sub 0 zero playoff game against the pats in '03 and it all seems so recent in my head. Stuff like this is so scary and sobering whenever it happens,. Nobody watched McNair mount his super bowl comeback against the Rams and thought "hmm...this man will be fatally shot on the 4th of July within a decade". But that's how it played out, and there's nothing that can bring him back. I'm rambling and drunk but it seems like there's no end to depressing stories like this.

edit if all the current reports are accurate (they probably aren't) it seems pretty clear they were having an affair. A jealous ex?

You forgot to put the {Sarcasm}{/Sarcasm} brackets on. Some of these tools might think you’re serious.

Illustrating the difference in age between McNair and his alleged girlfriend, depending upon what month she was born, she was 10 or 11 when Super Bowl 34 was played. She was arrested on Thursday night for DUI.

McNair was found on a couch with multiple gunshot wounds. She was found on the floor near him with a single gunshot wound and a gun next to her body. It was either a murder-suicide or somebody did at least a somewhat good job making it look like one.

Who knows, the girl could have been nuts on methamphetamine (like the guy who killed the Iowa high school coach in late June) or out of her mind because maybe McNair wanted to end the affair.

I didn't hear that the gun was next to the girl who also only had one wound. Wow...

Cannot even imagine being his family right now.

Awful news. One of the most underrated QBs of the last 10-15 years. Amazingly talented guy.

This is such sad news. McNair was one of my favorite players of all time. I became a Titans-fan-for-the-playoffs after the Music City Miracle because I just liked the way Steve played the game. He put that team on his back and carried them all the way to the SB vs the Rams. He was a true warrior and will be missed.

based on what information did they have to go on to report a murder suicide? They were throwing darts in the air and this one may have stuck BFD. They are still a joke and this news still sucks.

I'll never understand this undying hatred liberals have of Fox News. As JohnyD just pointed out, you're probably criticizing Fox while jerking off to Steve Olbermann and Rachael Maddow.

If you kept it in your pants, we wouldn't have to go crazy.

I really feel bad for his wife and kids.

    Ditto.

4 young sons have lost their father, because some chick from Iran decided to put 2 bullets in his head & 2 in his chest.

I found this a weird statement, it was from her manager at Dave and Buster's where she was a waitress.

"She was reliable 90 percent of the time,” manager Chris Truelove said of Kazemi. “She was pretty outgoing. A lot of the guests liked being around her, and she liked being around the guests."

What about the other 10 %? Was she on coke binges? Was she giving head to the other waiter's?

Still a very sad story.... whether he was cheating on his wife or not doesn't change the fact that he was a role model for a lot of young African-American kids growing up in poor parts of the South. To go from Alcorn State and be a Heisman candidate and then be only a yard away from a SB title is pretty awe inspiring.

Yeah, that's pretty fuckn' weird. Why would he go out of his way to give a specific number unless he really wanted to tell the world something.
