Hopefully it is not too serious. I want to allow our D to hit him Week 2.

Personally, I wouldn't mind if our D was hitting Kevin O'Connell instead.

Haha, after watching tonight I am pretty sure it would be Andrew Walter. O'Connell is a train wreck.

That's a great hit by Haynesworth but I wouldn't get your hopes up. If it was serious he probably wouldn't have been casually rolling his shoulder around like that on the sideline. Just sayin'.

Yeah, he looked sore but ok after. Still, it looked awfully painful when he hit the ground. It's funny because earlier in the game Wilfork "jumped" to try to deflect a pass and then decided to pop Campbell for the hell of it anyway. I thought to myself "I sure would love it if the Skins nailed Brady like that".

I guess he'll continue to be Probable (shoulder) the way he was for years.

Reading a Pats injury report is like reading yesterday's newspaper. So predictable. It was a very odd angle that Brady's shoulder hit the turf at. Almost behind his head. I have a feeling this could be more serious than they're gonna let on.

I remember Chad doing the same thing after he tore his cuff back in 05. He even came back in the game. That said I don't think this will be anything serious.

I'm shocked, shocked to hear that Wilfork took a cheap shot at a QB!

Time to start licking your chops. Brady has been sacked 3 times in pre-season and that line gave up 46 sacks last year.

I for one hope he's healthy. If we beat you guys I want no excuses for ya.

Srsly, it takes a real asshole for me to hope someone gets hurt and Brady does not come close. Ulf Samuelsson was that last one I remember openly cheering for after he took out Cam Neely's hip and thats been a long time.

I hope he's still around just to see him decimate the jills in week 1.

Maybe I'm in the minority here but I hope he's ok. I don't root for guys to get hurt, it's more fun to beat them when they're healthy.

I hear ya but the problem with that is watching him hook up with MOss over and over for 20+ yards, I don't see the Jets beating the Pats.

The skins were blitzing a lot and they paid for it.

Hayneworth and Gisselle ,,I mean Brady

Haynesworth says he wasn't trying to hurt Brady
Posted by Mike Florio on August 29, 2009 6:46 AM ET
The guy who flattened quarterback Tom Brady on Friday night, setting off an eventual pucker-fest among Patriots fans, has addressed the hit that might have screwed up Brady's passing shoulder.

"I mean, it wasn't like I was hitting Gisele or something; he's the quarterback," Redskins defensive tackle Albert Haynesworth said after the game, per Dan Steinberg of the Washington Post. "It was good, it was fine. I mean, I was trying to tackle him, but I wasn't trying to hurt him. I'm not that type of a player, you know? I'm actually a big Tom Brady fan. I'm a big Patriots fan. I've always like the Patriots, I've always liked Coach Belichick. I just like the way [Brady] is."

It's good that Haynesworth likes Brady. If Haynesworth didn't, he might have followed the play by stomping on Tom's shoulder.

And Haynesworth says he'd do it again. (Hit Brady, that is. Not stomp on his shoulder.)

"I hope he's all right," Haynesworth said. "If I had to hit him again, I would hit him again. That's my job, that's what they brought me here to do. But as far as trying to hurt somebody, I'm not trying to do that, especially that time, because I like that team. When you step back from football, I've always liked the Patriots. I don't know why. It's just something about them. I've always liked the Patriots."
