Get your bets in for the game. Also place your bets for the other games http://forums.theganggreen.com/showthread.php?t=48119 http://forums.theganggreen.com/showthread.php?t=48122 http://forums.theganggreen.com/showthread.php?t=48123
Ya gott get em up earlier. On Sunday mornings I go to church (true, sorry) and then have to get my five FF teams line ups tweaked. By 1pm.... I am locked on, it's football time.
I've never gambled before even know this is for vcash is there a link to what this means? I'm not sure what the +44, is that total points? Also wouldn't Jets +4.5 and over be a win, since they won by more? Or is opposite for them giving the points so that's the win. I think I just answered my own question?? So the top Bet was just a win outright and +4.5 and under was betting on a larger point differential? Thanks!!
over/under is betting on the total points scored in the game. point differential is the spread. Jets were underdogs by 4.5, so they had to lose by 4 or less, tie, or win outright to cover.
The bet was +4.5 and under. Wouldn't that mean they would win but by less then 4.5? So why did that bet payout? San Diego Chargers -9.5 and Under wouldn't that mean it pays out more if they win by more? Under 4.5 points is not what we won by yesterday, sorry for the dumb questions. THANKS!
Same question, what does "San Diego Chargers -9.5 and Under" mean and how is it different than "San Diego Chargers -9.5"?
Please read what I wrote: over/under is betting on the total points scored in the game. point differential is the spread. Jets were underdogs by 4.5, so they had to lose by 4 or less, tie, or win outright to cover. The over/under was 44. See for yourself.
that bet would mean you're betting that San Diego wins by 10 or more and the total amount of points in the game is under the posted over/under. I didn't check the over/under, but if it's 47.5, the under would mean you're betting 47 or less points will be scored. The "and" bets are parlays, which means both outcomes have to occur for you to win, but you get a larger payout if they do.
44 wouldn't make sense if it was referring to the differential, anyway. How many games in the NFL are won by a margin of 44 or more? That's why the largest point spreads you'll normally see are around 14 or 15. Not many of those higher, with the exception of the year of the Cheatriots, when they were running up the score every week. Didn't do them any good in the Super Bowl, though. The total allows you to bet on whether it'll be high-scoring or low-scoring, even if you don't know which team will cover the point spread.
Thanks man, that makes perfect sense now. I knew what the over/under was and I knew what the -9.5 meant, just didn't know that other one was for both to be true. Thanks again.
