He was extremely solid at USC and a better pro prospect than the fancier Dwayne Jarrett. He had 80 catches a year written all over him when he entered the league and it took a couple years to mature and now he's there. I have some crow for Beaman. Where is he? Because the Carolina Steve Smith is still great, we could see two players with the same name both get All-Pro recognition at the same position for the first time since I guess the two Gene Washington WRs were getting it done in the late 60s for Minnesota and San Francisco.
