Oh I don't know, I think we can afford 20 INT season from Sanchez.... If he throws for 40+ TD's that is.
I agree with most of what the OP said but I don't see any problem with the running game at all. Greene is still getting his 5 ypc and LT is playing like he did 5 years ago. The rest of the offense sucks. Sanchez won't even look in Holmes direction and he seems to be always open..often the same with Cotchery. For him it's Edwards or Keller or take a sack. By now you would think he would have learned to find all his receivers in the progression.
know wiegh troll I'z get da lumbahdi trofy @ mye howse. Honestly, I really do not know why I am bothering to answer a total troll like you. If I was to waste a minute of my life doing this on a Pats forum, shortly before I would kill myself for having no life, I would be banned............. Besides it is the preseason, there is one thing you can tell from that...... nothing.
No but he should have known how to find the open receiver by now. Marini could do a little more than that.
About what, the pick or the TD? Or that he was playing against the Giants? If you are asking did he probably look better in that game than he has since then you are right. If you are using that as an excuse for him to get worse in the following two weeks then you are insane.
I used it as an example of where he used his "progressions". You know what a progression is? Or are you talking about something you have no idea about........... nah you wouldn't do a thing like that.
Sanchez threw the ball to 7 different receivers, including Holmes. Code: Receiving REC YDS TD LG D. Keller 5 46 1 11 B. Edwards 2 31 0 16 J. Cotchery 3 25 0 10 S. Holmes 1 23 0 23 L. Tomlinson 1 9 0 9 L. Coles 1 7 0 7 T. Richardson 1 5 0 5
i feel the offense is a work in progress...as long as we dont get away from running the ball..sanchez will be ok i think..i think he feels he needs to do it all...he just needs to watch tape of himself during the playoffs and well be ok.is it crazy to say that revis makes the offense better?
If anything, Sanchez has learned one thing very well. He is really good at throwing picks. If he keeps his 1 pick a game average, he'll be throwing 16 picks this season. Well. It will be 4 less than last year, so that's an improvement!
Im worried!! Very Worried, Like selling all of my tickets for face or close to it worried because after last night I could see the Jets going down the drain ASAP. And all I need is to loose $$ on 8 tickets
You probably should. You should sell off any fan gear, too, and get your memory wiped of the team. Panic panic panic, get out while you can. The offense is cause for concern, obviously. Sanchez didn't settle down until Washington's 2s made it into the game. That's unacceptable. There's ZERO reason to panic over the preseason, though. The playcalling is different, the presnap motion is different. Be concerned about his progressions, sure, but panicking like this is absurd.
I'm not too worried about our first team. Sanchez has had his problems, but this is the preseason--he's not working with a full playbook, and his mistakes don't count. Additionally, during the regular season I'd expect that we'll be relying on the ground game far more heavily. You just can't read too deep into it. The only thing that I'm really worried about is our depth. The second and third teams are awful.
With the D and the supporting cast of O, its just galling to think how good we could be this year with a half decent starting QB rather than someone going through the growing pains in front of our eyes.
I agree. The thing is that he seems to settle down after the picks, especially in the first and third games. I think that if we can go with the 'red' offence for the first 3 drives, stay close with the running game and let Sanchez warm up, we'll be OK. I mean after he warmed up vs Giants, he looked great, last night he looked at least OK. I am certainly underwhelmed by the offense thus far, but I'm not worried--as LT said after the game, they don't even game plan now and run a 'vanilla offense.' I am worried about Schotty trying to make Sanchez the centre of the offense.
These games mean nothing. Absolutely nothing. They are played to tune up and to determine who fills the last 5 spots on the roster. Nothing more. When the regular season starts, a team's performance from one week to the next can be night and day. What makes anyone think a practice game in August will have any bearing on the real thing in mid-September. Haven't we learned that yet?? It's the same panic every year. It gets old. Let's let this team play 4-5 games before evaluating its performance. As of now, we know nothing.
