Thats the main reason I wonder about this game too. If we lose out there, we will probably get some slack, but if we lose to the Lions or Browns, the media will be screaming the wheels are coming off. I would much prefer a loss against any NFC team then an AFC team. I think its gonna be a tight race for home field advantage............
OP, all we have to do is have a better record than 10 other teams in the division when the dust has settled. We will. None of the rest matters. Relax.
How many teams do you think there are in our division, Don? I think you meant conference. I HOPE you meant conference.
I didn't even notice that. If you assume he meant conference he is still wrong. The Jets could conceivably have a better record than 13 teams in the conference and not make the playoffs.
That Denver game scares the shit outta me for some reason, I hope this team won't be riding too high if we beat the Vikes.
It's Cincy we play on TG I believe. One major thing that we have going for us against GB is that the O-line in GB has struggled but are starting to put it together. If we can hurry Rodgers we can win. I think the fact that we're at home should mean that we can squeak out a close one. But I agree with most that with this team we should be favoured in almost all of our games. I see no reason this team can't win 12-13 games and hopefully get home field throughout.
Denver is cinderella...they don't play with a chip on their shoulder like the Minn, Chi and Steeler defense does. Those are the toughest D's on our schedule. The rest it's up to the Jets offense to lose. Not looking ahead or anything. (Maybe Green Bay, but we have their number)
I still think it's too early in the season to know just how good or bad Cincy is this year, and since we beat em last year, people might think that game is going to be an easy win. But we play Houston the week before that, and with the Cincy game being on Thanksgiving, it is an extremely short week for us. It is also a short week for Cincy, but they get to play the Bills the week before which is a much easier task then the Texans. I don't think we can overlook ANY game this year, especially not the MNF game this coming week, but to me, it just seems with that short week, who knows what could happen on Turkey Day.
It's not crazy to think Denver will be a tough game, on a short week going to the West coast always seems to be a recipe for disaster. The nice part about Denver is they are the most one dimensional team on our schedule so we have no business losing that game. The toughest game I see is at Pittsburgh for obvious reasons.
To paraphrase Coach Westhoff...'Texans.......f*** them" (outside, late Nov...not looking good) We can sleep walk over Cincy.
Yeah...a whole 7500$. Surprised he isn't doing it once a game. He's got the coin. Something about the NFL office saying...."Now if he did that to a REAl quarterback" :rofl2:
