Rex is getting us to an AFC title game last year and a 6-2 record in the first half of this year. Agreed, the penalties have to be fixed. Not just addressed, but fixed.
Wow. Talk about Pavloving. Jets look like they are going to lose and droves of Jet fans start to "same old Jet" it rather than growing a pair.
I am glad I am not so stupid to post during a game because I would have said some of the dumb things that were posted. That said, you guys are a sad sack fo crap. Go back and read what you said..... talk radio at its best
because im sure you knew we were going to win... for all you know my op was an anti jinx that won us the game... you can thank me later. haha
I just read this thread. Some of you guys are fucking ridiculous. I mean, I didn't expect them to pull that one out but you guys jump ship so fucking quick it's embarrassing.
Buti it's full of some true stuff too... some of the mistakes we made are directly attributable to the HC imo. Rex is a great X-O guy, and he is a great motivator in bringing fire out of the guys. His in-game management (TO, challange, 12 man on the field), the penalties, keeping guys focused and accountable leave a lot to be desired though. He is a smart guy learning to be a HC so there's no reason to not be optimstic... but as of now he is clearly lacking in all of those aspects. Firing Ryan and Sanchez was bullshit... Schotty however needs to go imo. It's not that he sucks, but imo his offensive philospohy clashes with Sanchez skillset. We can't ever get a rythm on O and only get by because of flashes of talent.
Some of you might want to wait for the game to end before you start posting. The first 10 or so posts in this thread are ridiculous. You realize Sanchez and the Jets are 10-3 in their last 13 games going back to last season. And you also realize that two of Sanchez' interceptions this year were not interceptions under the rules???? And Ryan, though flawed in some ways, has completely changed the culture of this team. Tell me when was the last time a Jets team won a game down by 10 with 4 minutes left. For the past 40 years, we have been on the losing end of games like today (and the Broncos game a few weeks ago). The sign that the Jets are good is that they are winning games like today's. It is a great feeling.
I'm not defending the way he's called games, but everyone in this thread lost their shit in the second quarter. Did you like Schotty's call when Holmes made his catch and run? Schotty's hardly the best OC in the league, but he's not the main cause of our offensive problems.
i dont think we were jumping ship as much as holding rex responsible for some of the mental mistakes... i think a lot of people are too in love with rex to be fair with him and he needs to run tighter practices this week to get peoples heads out of their asses.
I was saying that Rex's team was lacking discipline all game and despite the fact that he got bailed out by his team, it's still correct. They really need to work on some things this week, but hey I'll gladly take 6-2. Hillis certainly won't be able to run on us like that.
The reason this thread is FAIL = Posting about a Jets Loss before the game is over.... You are fair weather fans or SOJ fans caught red handed. Dont get mad!
being a soj fan is a hard addiction to kick... im trying but that side of me reared its ugly head again today.
Even as a big Jet fan, Rex has become annoying in alot of his comments after games. He's always overdoing the defense and it's a fact that the D isn't half as good as last season. They got so many penalties today and it has to be unacceptable. And Bart Scott with the unsportsmanlike penalties, it's enough. I don't want to hear anymore BS about how good the defense is. Once again today, Lions have a 2nd and 28 and 2 plays later, they have another first down.
