Not in that division. I feel bad for them, almost like I would feel bad for the Dolphins is they weren't, you know, the Dolphins. It's tough to compete when 2 of the top 5 teams in the NFL are in your division.
Rob Ryan has made that defense a tough bitch to play against. Brian Daboll coordinates the young QB and running game very well. They are a hell of a team.
McCoy fits them like a glove. I didn't know what to think of him initially, but after that game, he's the real deal in my book. Nothing fancy, but he doesn't make mistakes, isn't too aggressive and makes plays when needed. The Browns are not a team I'd want to see on my schedule if I were an NFL team. Makes you wonder where they'd be right now if he were the starter all year.
Agree they played a hell of a game. A few people though I was a dumbass this week because I said we would not dominate them. I glad we won but if you actually had watched the browns before this game you could see the were a hard nosed team with some talent and a young QB playing well. It will be a tough division to climb to the front of, but they are well on thier way with a very good O-line and some powerful running by Hillis. Josh McDaniels who? The Jets should have one in regulation. Folk, what the hell. I've supported him to this point but fuck it, he's killing us. Gotta hand it to Rex for sending him out there again and sticking by his player, but things are just Ugly now. We are a grind it out type of team that can not afford to miss 30 yarders after 10 min drives. Kudos to the Browns for a great game. Good luck with the development of your young QB.
Solid young team. They have some talent, though not enough to compete with a tough AFC. But back-to-back solid outings against the Pats and Jets says something for them.
Mangini is doing a heck of a job. On the offensive side, at the skilled positions they don't have alot of great players yet they still are scoring. Their OL was dominant in the first half, they play tough and smart.
I'm just happy this game is finally over. And that we won it, of course. This game scared me all week. Cleveland's been playing good for the last month now.
Clevelands needs in the draft. 1st round- WR 2nd round- WR 3rd round- WR 4th round- WR You get the point.
Gotta feel for Stucky. The kid has talent but that fumble was a killer. They are alot like we were 2 years ago. Solid Oline, good defense thats improving, but a few weapons away from being a complete team.
They are a helluva team, might even still play spoiler in that division this year, wouldn't be the least bit suprised to see them finish at .500. Also gotta give it up to them for gift wrapping us Sanchez, Edwards and beating the Pats last week too.
Clearly I'm in the minority on this one, but I didn't think that the Browns looked that impressive today. Aside from their late touchdown drive (which was admittedly impressive,) Cleveland couldn't do anything right in the second half--the Jets walked right downfield on them, and took the ball right back on defense. Just look at the time of possession. If the Jets execute in the red zone (and Folk doesn't miss 3 fucking field goals) then this game isn't very close.
The big difference is they have a good young QB to build around. There's a lot to be excited about in Cleveland regardless of the loss. They have solid players they just need playmakers, particularly at WR.
