the moral of the story is that, yeah they give up a shit load of yards, but they also create turnovers that's all ...
So? 3 and out is a turnover. Keeping the offence off the field is a much more reliable method of keeping the opposition from scoring than aggressive ball hawking.
This is what it has to do with it, the fundamentals are the same... The Pats have a big O and a terrible D. That was the case in the 1st game and it's the case now. The Jets can limit the Pats offense by simply not letting them get on the field. They can just play ball control by running the ball at them and playing the short passing game to move the chains while Brady stands on the sidelines waiting for a chance to play. Then when he does get a chance to play he feels like he has to make something happen because he doesn't know when he's going to get the ball the again, which equals MISTAKES because chances will be taken under stress. Combine that with the fact that you have Revis and Cromartie looming out there in case you try to go deep with the ball and it all adds up to frustration for the Pats. That's what it has to do with the upcoming game. See?
QB pressure from the guys up front will be the key to this game..... If they can get Brady's jersey dirty without blitzing the D-backs and get their running game going, they have a STRONG chance to win this game.
Concerning the Jets defense in this game, I just hope Revis is manned up on Welker all game in press coverage. I am so sick of watching teams give Welker a free release off the line...
the pats have played top teams this year, whereas the bills have not. and neither have the jets for that matter. the pats are the best T-E-A-M. you can throw as many stats out there as you want.
Both teams have changed a lot since then. I'd be surprised if the Jets throw the same defense agains the Patriots that they did in the 1st game. Same with the Patriots.
i appreciate the cute lil right up and all looks like it took some time, showed some passion.. small problem though, it wont mean diddly poo come next monday.. bottom line its who plays better on that given day .. perio d
OK genius. Do you have any clue how the NFL schedules work? 14 of the 16 games the Jets and Pats play are identical - even to as to who is home and away. The only difference this year is the Pats played Indy and SD and the Jets played Houston and Denver. The Pats got Indy when most of their team was injured and played SD early in the year when they stunk. So the schedules are, for the most part, even.
Glad to see that you can spell the word T-E-A-M but the only thing we care about spelling in these parts is J-E-T-S JETS! JETS! JETS!
they have not played roughly identical schedules to date - as you've said the pats played the colts and chargers (both top teams) wheareas you played denver and houston (2 bad teams). who cares about the colts injuries - the pats had key injuries too. and since when did the colts lose "half" their team? i must have missed when the colts put 26 guys on the injury list. The colts and chargers >>>>>>>>>> houston and denver.
Let that Dumb**** keep on believing his stinking Cheaters are good, I've seen all their games and over half of them have been handed to them, they are the most overrated team in the nfl.
LOL are you kidding me? The Pats have had games handed to them? Did you miss the Jets game against the Lions, Browns, Broncos? I swear you guys see what you want to see
