The Steelers were once the worst franchise in the NFL for about 50 years, the cards made a SB a few years ago, the Pats were a joke not too long ago. Times change and detroit is building something. W/ or w/o Braylon the lions are going to be good.
Can you imagine if the Lions are able to build a solid secondary in FA by bringing in say a Jonathon Joeseph and a couple role players? You are right Junc, they are building something, the old fashioned way. they are still a few years from contention for a title, but the playoffs are not out of the question in any sense.
There's still work to be done for this season but w/ all we know right now I think detroit will be a surprise playoff team and TB will be the surprise disappointment.
Detroit also needs more from their run game. Jahvid Best showed up for first 3 weeks last season and then disappeared.
Most teams need their starting QB to be healthy to succeed and detroit isn't any different. We'll see if this has been bad luck or if this continues to be a trend for Stafford.
I was wondering that too. Also does it restrict where they go to college? One kid is going to Harvard for example. If there's no restrictions on where they go to college, Braylon could be looking at paying upwards toward $10 million I'd think.
I believe his foundation will help raise funds and lower costs. Harvard alone will cost him $240k for a 4 year education. http://www.gse.harvard.edu/admissions/financial_aid/tuition/index.html
He lets his face get thrown on some random vitamin supplement there's like 50 grand right there. There's easy money to be made for pro athletes that ate good at what they do
Yeah maybe to the Derek Zoolander school for Children Who Can't Read Good and Want to Learn to do Other Stuff Good Too...
