I know its very early in the season but I DO see the jets going now 2-3 and then have Miami and Chargers at home not easy games. The bill and pats both look good and should win the next 2 games putting the bills @ bengals, then @ eagles (who knows statues of VICK). Im starting to worry a little, we really needed this game. Maybe we pull out a win next week vs ravens or even pats but with MANGOLD out, and now Cro looking to be hurt as well and Shotty with his crapy play calling when we need to air it out. Im worried for the rest of the year and getting behind early which is never good for the JETS! Thoughts??
I'm worried about the next few games, but the schedule will eventually ease up. No reason to think we won't make the playoffs yet. I still think our defense is more than good enough to have us make the playoffs. I was just hoping we'd be good enough to win the division, and I don't see that in this team. Buffalo will probably fall off eventually. Remember, they started 5-1 a few years ago.
And i don't want to play and win vs the bengals every week. The tough games are the ones that will resemble the playoff games. if we can't compete then we don't belong anyway
the way i see it, the AFC south has only 1 playoff team, the texans, the north has pitt and bal, west has SD and Oakland, and east has us and the patriots. meaning if we can't win the division we would be battling with oak/sd bal/pat for wildcard spots. And I think that even though the raiders beat us we will finish with a better record than them. Its not like the AFC of years past where theres a lot of teams jockeying for the 2 wild cards. colts are dead without manning jags and titans are no good, the broncos and chiefs suck, as do the browns bengals and dolphins. its week 3, I am not making camp on the ledge. we were 4-6 and made the playoffs with a more competitive afc 2 years ago.
Any thing is possible for teams that are HUNGRY and want it more, will win, period end of story. There are a lot of HUNGRY teams out there. We will see what we are by week 8.
Remember when we were going to be 0-5 last year after we lost to Baltimore? Good times. It never stops. It really is incredible with this fanbase.
Its one loss that we should ahve won!! The next 2 I think we lose cause they are great teams and playoff teams, Raiders just have a good RB in mcfadden!
We are a great team and we are a playoff team, we have just as good of a chance as they do. Teams lose games they arent suppose to, its the games that they need to win that make the real difference. If we were 2-4 or 2-5 I could see why this thread would be made, but we are not and have a great shot at still being one of the best teams in the league. Ive said it all over this board that once our offense gets intune and our run game steady again, we will be more than okay.
True you are right maybe I am so pissed I pulled the gun early!! im just saying after the next 2 away games ravens and pats, we got miami and chargers, and miami always plays us good and the chargers I think are clicking so I dont know could we be 3-4, 2-5, 4-3 going into the buy I dont know. I doubt it will be 5-2 but Im just pissed we lost when I think we really needed this game!
