I blame Bill Polian for this. On Jan 16 2005 NE beat Indy 20-3 in a playoff game. Polian went nuts because NE was able to be physical with Indy receivers in this game. Since he was a member of the competition committee he was able to get the NFL to place more emphasis on the no contact after 5 yards rule. This made the NFL a passing dominated league where defenses and running games became less important.
i noticed this AND the holds. although you could have made a case for that on wilson's play on dixon. i don't complain about officiating often but this game has been a fuckin joke. mike carey's crew is usually good.....dunno wtf happened
Stop blaming the officials. It's the TEAM....WE SUCK!!! Do yourself a favor and grab a good hold of that fact. The officials aren't throwing pick sixes every other drive...and they're not knocking Sanchez to the turf on every pass play either. Officiating, my ass!
What a fukin con job... this needs to be investigated because I have never seen such a disgraceful set of biased calls. They DID NOT COST US THE GAME. We got our asses kicked but that doesn't mean it should be ignored. Absolutely embarrassed to be a fan of the NFL right now.
I agree RT, this is so biased thats the part that really sucks. Not only is it bad play calling but it's not just small oversights but drastic mistakes and things that aren't even looked at.
worst officiating ever worst playcalling ever worst football ever this is seriously maybe the worst game i've ever seen
The worst part of losing this bad is that nobody but us will remember how absurdly bad the refeering was. If this was a close game, everyone on ESPN would be talking about it. Not the case with a blowout loss.
