Harvin to Seahawks @JayGlazer: The Seahawks and Vikings have agreed to a trade that send Harvin to Seattle for draft picks, pending a physical
as per Jay Glazer's twitter Jay Glazer @JayGlazer The Seahawks and Vikings have agreed to a trade that send Harvin to Seattle for draft picks, pending Harvin passing a physical
very interested to see what minnesota got back if harvin signed an extension and if the 49ers step up there game on Revis
According to Adam Schefter, the Vikings are getting the Seahawks 1st round pick back and maybe more... Now this really means Revis HAS TO get the Jets back a 1st round pick....Harvin has been hurt more(Even though no torn ACL), has been just as disgruntled, has not been anywhere near as good of a talent on the field and is also looking to cash in, even if its not as big of a deal as what Revis wants.
And the rich get richer. Percy Harvin makes Seattle an instant favorite in the NFC along with San Fran. Say what you want about the guy and his ornery attitude but on the field he's one of the most explosive players in the league. Those two franchises get what it takes to be a winner. IDZIK, I hope you're watching and learning!!
Considering Idzik was apart of that same franchise for a few years, I don't think he needs to be watching anything or learning anything....he was apart of that transformation in person.
Seattle sends this years first round pick and a 7th rounder as well as a mid-round pick next year for Harvin. Win-win for both teams per glazer

I wonder how this will impact a Revis trade. No way JETS trade him off without getting at least a 1. Yes we can go over the whole ACL injury, but, Harvin has been injury prone all the time as well.
man i would think this slightly facilitates a trade with the niners. man harvin paired up with wilson. thats a pretty good combo provided harvin is on the field.
That's all good and well but Idzik wasn't there when they pulled off this trade for Harvin so my grade for him will remain incomplete until I see what he does over the next 12-18 months to improve this franchise.
Ian Rapoport @RapSheet On Percy Harvin's new deal. I mentioned he was seeking $10M. Based on what I'm hearing, wouldn't be surprised if he gets it.
Someone should create a thread highlighting the moves, to include the draft that Seattle made during Idzik's tenure with them. I think it would give a good insight into what to expect. I know that from Carroll he learned that speed was at a premium, and I have of course seen a few of the draft picks flourish but I'm sure there is much I could learn. The Seahawks went 6-7 in the postseason with him there and 3-3 since he was promoted to VP of Football Administration. They achieved a berth 6 out of 9 years. Before that, they were 3-5 in their entire history in the postseason. I think his influence in the overall rebirth of the Seahawks and the moves and successive building that he was witness to that worked, is a worthy point of discussion.
