Very disappointing way for Mark to end his career as a Jet. The future looked so bright. Then he lost all his weapons in 2011, 2012 Sparano and Tebow came in, then when things started to look up in 2013, Rex Ryan (in a move that will eventually get him fired and rightfully so) allowed Mark to be injured by 5th string Giants who are currently working at Waffle House. Too bad. Now the season is ruined. Good news for Mark though, is he can be released in March, find a franchise who will actually allow him to succeed and supply him with weapons, and hopefully continue a promising career in 2014.
This is exactly right - I don't think they need to worry about benching him and I certainly don't think Idzik is the type to be married to his players, but I guess I have huge doubts about Simms being any good. I'd gladly be wrong, I just think he sucks. And he would've had a worse day than Geno did last night in the circumstances. Again, maybe I'm wrong, hopefully I'm wrong. Idk. That's my own feelings. If we had another QB worth playing I'd completely be on your side, cause I agree with your premise. Talk to me in a few weeks though and I might become a big Simms fan, if it gets any uglier haha
Would you fucking stop? The only thing worse than those dumb plays are dumbasses that love to continue posting them... Sanchez is likely done in NY. That's great. But the last thing I want to do though is re-live those pathetic plays. It's not funny or cool or anything to continue posting them over and over, at this point in time. It's fucking stupid. Please stop.
it's a shame he got injured when he shouldn't have even been in the game. I'm glad he's getting the surgery, could have ended up being a lot worse if he tried to play. this is most likely the end of his career in NY. I wish him the best.
Some of these posts are the most classless I've seen on this board and that's saying a lot. Cheer a current Jet's surgery and end of his career here. Bunch of losers. _
Lmao these gifs are awesome!! Go back in my posts, and I was one of the ones defending Sanchez. Until I actually opened my eyes and saw that he was not something that could be fixed. Yes he got us far two years, but he also destroyed us more times than not. Some of you people on here are way too serious lol
Well isn't as bad as cheering when Pennington got hurt, by fans at the meadowlands, now that was classless
How's that Sanchez's fault? The blame on that one belongs at the top of the organization.. They have to get his permission to allow their doctors to perform a needed surgery on his arm, but they don't have to even consult with him what-so-ever about their IR tag if they don't want too. The Jets botched that. Torn labrum for a QB = IR no matter how, or how long you look at it. Should've been an easy decision.
Why cuz Sanchez is ass?? I don't wish injury on anybody and did not want to see him get hurt at all, but lets not kid ourselves here and say he did not provide some shitty memories.. Pretty amusing when you look at the stupidity of some of the plays. So in short.... Relax.
The nostalgia related to Sanchez based on two AFC title game appearances is a little much. He seems like a good guy and all, he just wasnt a good QB. It sucks he had to go out this way, but injuries happen to everyone. See Locker yesterday. I hope Geno can be the guy.
Better to have Geno Smith start, gain some experience, and have some idea what he's all about right now. Better that than waste more time on Sanchez. This way, the Jets will have a better idea as to whether they should go after a quarterback next year...my feelings are that they probably should, since I didn't like the pick in the first place. But that's up to Geno and how well he performs given this opportunity. It's up to him to prove himself, and there's no way around that. I'm not glad Sanchez got hurt, especially in the way that he did in garbage time in the preseason, but this is probably the best for the future of this ball-club if you want to be objective about it. We'll never know what would have happened if Sanchez didn't get hurt. Probably a good chance that he would have started, at least in the beginning of the year. Too bad for him, although I don't think that would have changed things in the long run. It just would have have postponed getting a look at Geno, IMO. Like I say, a waste of time. That's my opinion. You can debate whether Geno was ready for this chance until the cows come home, but nobody can prove that he would be better if given a chance to sit on the bench and learn for a while. There is no substitute for experience, so there's that.
