Former college QB. Interesting. Sounds very Rex-esque.

Also, quite notably, I still have no idea how to correctly embed tweets.

I hope that the coaching staff is taking notice of how well Fitz seems to be placing the ball. I understand he's playing against the second string defense and probably some guys that won't even be on the roster, but putting the ball right where the receiver can get it is something we've been missing since… Chad?

He could sneak in. Enunwa is too good on special teams I think, plus he's got all the tools to become a starter, he just has to work on his route running and catching the ball consistently. And with Kerley/Powell probably handling PR/KR duties I don't see how Graham is going to make it.

Enunwa, Evans, and Posey don't return kicks.

Hakim is a good special teamer, but offers very little as a WR.

i think Owusu's main competition is his concussion history.
if he can stay healthy, to some degree he'll be competing with Graham and Powell, but if we keep 6 WR's, i don't see how he wouldn't be on the roster.
Decker, Marshall, Kerley, Smith, Graham and Owusu....

yeah seems that way. was looking to see if he could find a niche as a versatile lineman.
we have literally no good 2 position lineman in this entire scrum of competition (unless Colon can still kick out to RT).
and i'm not impressed with our backup OT options.

Neither am I. There's really nothing to get excited about. I guess the good thing is we have a bunch of guards who can play tackle in a pinch. Dozier, Harrison, Aboushi. They'd make quality backups at least and at least with Aboushi I think he could handle the starting job. But LT is a big question mark. There's nothing. If Brick goes down, which he won't, we're in trouble.

well we know for sure Aboushi cannot play OT.
that's where he was drafted to play, and he was absolutely miserable in preseason action at the position, prompting them to convert him to G in year 2.

Dozier and Winters were also college T's, but are too compact imo to play T at the pro level.
that's why they are being given a look at C even. they are interior guys at this point, and can cross them off the T list.

Harrison was really a college G, and will be red shirted this year until he is ready to play pro G.
also can cross off the T list.

Colon was a good pro T, and maybe could play RT in a pinch. but he's getting old and his footwork is slowing down.
there's a reason he was kicked inside, so i wouldn't be too comfortable there either.

lol, this is why i was asking about Qvale..
i actually don't think ANY of our other Guards could kick to Tackle in a pinch.

i'm really down on Breno, and neither Ijalana or Brewer are likely to push him, let alone even provide quality depth.
    Johnson has been a ghost.

I wouldn't judge Aboushi on his preseason rookie performance. The only difference really between Guard and Tackle is that outside you have to be a little more athletic and Aboushi is very athletic. He just didn't know too much about blocking and technique. His footwork was great last year, his hand placement, all that was really good. I think he could easily slide over to RT and we probably wouldn't miss a beat. Breno isn't exactly HOF material. I think if those two actually switched positions we might be better off. Breno could be one heck of a guard with how good he is in the running game.

Sounds like Devin Smith might have just suffered a concussion. Geno underthrew a longball, Smith went back and made a great play to get it, but bumped heads with Jaiquawn Jarrett. Went down and trainers took him inside, walking very slowly.
