I'm all about the playoffs. To me that what I look at more then anything. Not a Sanchez fan but he did help the Jets make to the playoffs.

I still don't get why people think RG3 is going to take a backup job. There are plenty of starting jobs available.

no he didnt... he nearly kept us from making them.

once we got to the playoffs, sanchez played a big role in those 4 big road wins. but the regular season he was trash and cost us games. considering we barely made the playoffs both seasons, i wouldnt say he helped us, especially his first season

Fitzy deserves the backing of the franchise and if RGIII came here, that would create such a firestorm that it could rattle the structure of the team. Cut Geno (because the franchise needs to move from that mess), give Fitzy a decent short-term contract, go with Petty as the backup next year. Having RGIII as a backup next year will be nothing but a distraction with little benefit.

11-5 and the 5th seed in 2010. week 17 was meaningless as we already had a p.o. spot locked up. not sure i would call that barely getting in. mark had a decent season in 2010.made a few big plays to win us games. overall his career wasn't good, 2010 was not trash.

Going with an unproven backup like Petty can be a disaster . I don't like having a backup that's got no game experience.

Jaguars don't need a QB, they have Blake Bortles

Fitz had a solid year no doubt and I feel he earned the right for another crack at it!

HOWEVER! He is getting old, his track record isn't consistent and when it mattered vs the Bills he didnt play great.

We need to groom a QB and taking a shot on a 24 year old rookie of the year and Hiesman trophy winner isn't a bad place to start.

I still can't see RG3 willing to back up Fitz, somebody will give him a chance. But don't worry, Geno will still be gone and probably warming a bench in Cleveland. So there is that to look forward too!

Same here. My money's on O'Brien giving him a shot in Houston. Walking in the door, RG3's already the best QB in their building.
