We've opened at home 6 years in a row. I can't see another year of that. (of course I've probably said that 5 years in a row as well). I bet its @ Buffalo week 1. Anyone want to bet against me? I'll bet you a $7 dollar Labatt Blue Tall Boy Can from the stadium whenever we do play at that shithole stadium. We can meet there in the concourse where you enter nut to butt. If I'm right at least we'll be in T-shirts when you buy my beer (early september). If I'm wrong, we'll be dressed like sherpas like the locals (any other time of year) and you can enjoy your beer on me.
I would hate it because Rex Ryan loves openers. He gets his teams hyped out of their minds and usually has new defensive wrinkles that nobody's seen from him before. He's good when he has an entire offseason to plan for a game. I think he was something like 5-1 in openers when he was here, and the Bills sent the Colts into a tailspin with the week 1 beat down last year.
I guess the NFL's following the MLB model of having the defending champs open at home against the team they beat for the title lol

This guy says both Jets and Giants will open at home. Assuming Bengals-Jets have no National appeal, is it safe to assume a MNF for Jets Week 1?
So we open at home against the Bengals. Tough game. Put Revis on Green with safety help. Cincy doesn't really have a no. 2 receiver now that Sanu and Jones are gone. Pryor locks down Eifert over the middle and our DL stifles their run game. We win with Fitz, lose with Geno. Who knows with anyone else at QB... Someone start the Week 1 game discussion thread!
Now what is this all about? Apparently week 13 is MNF vs Colts, week 14 is in San Francisco and week 15 is Saturday night vs Miami. That's 2 consecutive short weeks in December sandwiched by a west coast trip. Garbage.
Between this and opening 6 of 9 games on the road, we've got a badly set up schedule. Not to mention we are playing the two best divisions from last year.
Rich Cimini @RichCimini 47s47 seconds ago Jets have 2 straight short weeks in Dec -- 5 v IND, 11 at SF, 17 v MIA. Close with BUF. Again. #NFLSchedule
They make up for that fucked up 3 week stretch by giving us 5 of our last 7 at home, but still.. They usually try to help out teams who are taking west coast trips, not rail them with back to back short weeks.
