My favorite musician of all time. Just checked my iTunes and I have 1509 Prince tracks between official releases, singles, remixes and concert bootlegs.

    Damn shame.

Great artist. I'm a child of the 80's and he provided so many 80's classics.

    Total bummer.

RIP Prince. Total icon. No shock, but I love his 1989 Batman soundtrack. All the songs are great. They shouldn't work. Prince and Batman. But amazingly: It Did.

An unfairly maligned album amongst Prince junkies. I always thought it was great.

Diamonds and Pearls is his only classic album I can think of that is unlistenable as an album, despite the fact that the singles from it were great. If he takes Jughead with him into the afterlife it will be his last great musical gift to the world.

Unfortunately his weakest music came after changing his name back to Prince. His output as the symbol is underrated.

Yes word is out that really happened, Mike Tyson was there and he confirmed the story and he really did did serve them pancakes .

The best part of the story was Charlie Murphy and some of his crew were in Vegas at the Rio where Prince did his residency and they went to see the show, the story goes that Prince was circling the club jamming out on his guitar and he and Charlie Murphy by some stroke of fate were face to face, Prince stopped playing and went pfffttt and rolled his eyes back and started playing again.

Lol ive known this for a while. Prince apparently had a scholarship to Minnesota to play but he decided he wanted to make music..... Good decision i think we can all agree.

Apparently people have tons of stories involving prince including roller skating with quest love at 1 am.

I think what I loved most about Prince was that unlike his contemporaries, he kept his profile low and still continued to do shows and such. You never heard of Prince doing anything crazy (except for the symbol thingy), stayed off the radar and on the right side of the law. 57 is pretty young but look at the list of guitarists that he outlived. Can't fault his taste in women either.

RIP Prince. Keep on making the music on the other side.
