Kerry Rhodes has obviously turned out better then mostly everybody could have expected. When he put that hit on Grossman yesterday the meadowland erupted like the Jets scored a TD, he is the single defensive player that this team has that can do something like that... by the way, does anybody know where i can get a clip of that hit grossman took?
He really is a beast, a true talent on the team and a force for years to come. I'd say Pro-Bowl starter for sure, but usually guys like Lynch get in ahead of more worthy players like Rhodes, based upon name recognition alone.
Just curious, but seeing as how he has four sacks now, does anyone know what the most sacks in a season by a safety is? I doubt he's close, but seeing the way he blitzes and getting sacks really has me wondering what the most is.
a beast he is, indeed. :jets: most sacks by a safety? cardinals safety adrian wilson broke the record last season set by duerson in 1986 with 8 sacks. so rhodes (4 sacks) COULD break the record this season although its unlikely
Kerry Rhodes was a fourth round pick steal with the potential to do great things and now all the hard work has paid off for him. The JETS have one good safety for years to come and hopefully he gets voted into the PRO-BOWL because I sure am voting for Kerry Rhodes.
Rhodes is fun to watch. Whether he's blitzing, playing in the box, or playing in coverage. He moves his hips so well, uses his size very well on tipped passes, and wraps up well on tackles. It's only his 2nd year, glad he's a Jet.
What is this? People being positive? Don't you people know the rules?! NO OPTIMISM on a Monday after a loss! Seriously though. I think we have to give Bradway some props here. No, the 2005 draft doesn't look good right now. But drafting Rhodes in the 5th round should definitely give Terry a pat on the back.
If he doesn't make the pro bowl its a crock of sh*t. He's a difference maker, he's around the ball, and honestly right now, he's the only player that consistently makes plays in this defense.
man, I'm really glad i have his autograph now! He has been the best, and more consistent player on our defense.
Only if we're allowed to give him a swift kick, with cleats on of course, to the balls for some of his other draft picks
He is probably our most exciting and dynamic player on defense. Certainly this year he has been more of an impact player than Vilma. TBTF
After seeing a few amazing pictures from training camp and reading the great reports posted here I jumped on the Rhodes bandwagon. It has been a great ride since. My favorite player after Big Ben
I thought we would see him on Jacked Up tonight. Unless he's number 1 which I dont think... keep your fingers crossed
