I would say best case is

    Browns - Chubb
    Giants - Barkely
    Jets - Darnold
    Browns - Allen

Not likely, but stranger things have happened

Would much rather the QBs be gone early (with us taking one not named Josh Allen) so that the Bills have no one to trade up with. My absolute nightmare scenario is we take Allen and Mayfield falls to a spot where the Bills can move up and take him. He’d own the division post-Brady and I’d much rather he do it with us than them.

We just better hope Allen falls to us. Not only is he the best QB prospect I believe he’s the best prospect in the draft. Saquan a close 2nd simply because I think he can make an impact day 1. Darnold looks sloppy out there and once there was tape on him he struggled this year. Rosen’s love for the game and injury history can’t be ignored. Mayfield is too small and is a second round prospect especially if you want to compare hit to his ceiling Drew Brees who was taken in round 2 or Wilson in round 3. Chubb has potential but he’s limited to a team that runs a 4-3 D because he can’t play OLB.

You need to stop calling Allen the best QB prospect. Its just not true. I don't rememmber you talking about him at all leading up to the 2017 college football season. I don't even remember you talking about any of his games in 2017. So how can he be the best QB prospect 2 months out from the draft. Tape, stats and level of competition says differently. If he were so good how come he didn't win the Heisman?

That would be typical Bills. Stuck with the bottom QB when they could have had the same player if they just held onto TTaylor

Oof. Brutal if you're pimping the new, undersized QB. Brutal is that Mayfield isn't as athletic as Taylor and hasn't accomplished anything that Taylor has, agreed.

The closer comparison is J Manziel

    Still hope it’s Rosen.

I want a guy who could put pressure on the existing quarterbacks right away, not another guaranteed project. There’s a poor track record of QB development with this regime.

In most other scenarios pertaining to life, I’d be ok with taking someone who needs development, but not where it concerns the New York Jets.

Results now. It’s been too long.

Not too sure how you think comparing a multi year pro QB to a kid who hasn’t even been drafted yet when talking “accomplishments” is a good idea, but here we are.

Taylor can’t see the field unless he’s outside the pocket and he can’t wait to get out of the pocket, he’s limited as a passer in terms of type of throws he can make. Those are the two things that have held him back. Those are also two things that couldn’t describe Mayfield less.

A pick like this is made for the long haul not for 2018.

Rosen won't be playing a second contract, and he does not have the character or personality for the job. When your own coach endorses someone else, and directly mentions your 'millenial' personality the Jets should take notice.

Allen and Mayfield won’t have 2nd contracts either, unless we’re talking CFL. Rosen’s coach is helping him avoid the Browns. It’s pretty clear if you actually listen to everything he said. Even the talking heads were able to pick that up.

Look back, I had a thread at the end of last year about Darnold, Allen and Rosen. For me it’s about passing the eye test, measurables and system in college. Allen is by far the strongest prospect based on that criteria. The kicker is that system produced a current star in Wentz who has very similar measurables and eye test.

Seems like Allen is really riding the Wentz comparison. Only Wentz performed better during his college career.

True but it also was division 2 against teams that I didn’t even know existed.

Taylor has a strong arm and can make any throw. He throws a really good deep ball. Taylor can't see the field? And you know Mayfield will? Because he's what, bigger? Because he's not as athletic? Based on what, a dominant team in a weak conference in college vs what he will see in the NFL. Ok

haha, right, the millenial comments and questioning his work ethic and commitment was just to fool the Browns?

the Browns want no part of Rosen. Before Dorsey took the Cleveland job he was on record as saying to 'stay away' from Rosen. Now that he went to Cleveland he of courses denies that, as he doesn't want to play his hand. But there is zero chance of Dorsey drafting Rosen.

btw, total punk move by Rosen insinuating he doesn't want to play for Cleveland, which is also consistent with his character.
