What would you guys say would be the top three keys to victory for this game? The main one for me that comes to mind is bring the house more than usual since Losman makes bad decisions and is at times erratic.
The Jets need to shut down McGahee... Or get up big early like we did this week and force them to abandon the run (Green still had 100+ yards)... If we can do that, we win.
We cant overlook the two divisional games... look at what the Bills nearly did to SD who could be called the best team in the AFC
This is the biggy. This and putting forth a superior effort for 60 minutes. We can not lay down against any team; if we think we have won, that is when we will lose. Screw the easy schedule; there is no easy schedule; even the Oakland Raiders who would be considered the worst of the bunch are capable of beating us if the Jets do not play hard for Mangini. I think we have a chance at running the table, but I will not pencil in one W yet. Over the years, I have seen shit happen.
This should be a pretty easy win for the jets. They always seem to beat the bills at the meadowlands. The Jets were able to beat them in buff when the D sucked ass and blaylock/barlow at RB. I'm really not that worried about the bills.
The Bills like to play a ball-control, slow game. A couple of Shottenjunior's siganture random deep pass plays should spoil that.
The bills are an improved team themselves and are good enough that they will be competitive every sunday.
Look, we beat the Bills with McGahee running ALL over us. The defense has made tremendous leaps since that game. Mangenius will take care of the rest.
Of all the remaining games, this one scares me the most. I think the Bills will bring their A game -- they have some gamebreakers at the key skill positions. I hope Mangini makes sure the Jets don't get too big for their britches in this one.
Still say this is a must-win for us...if we lose this one, I don't see us getting in, although it won't fully end our hopes. What we have to do is simple...pass on the vulnerable Bills' secondary and contain McGahee.
You are crazy man. This game will not be easy. The Bills are a pretty good team and it is a divisional game. True the Jets normally beat the Bills in the Meadowlands, but the Bills normally beat the Jets in Buffalo. So that means nothing really. McGahee always runs wild against the Jets. If the Jets stop him, they should be okay.
Jets are a better team than the Bills, without question. Factor in that this is a home game, and the Bills are coming off of a heartbreaking loss in which any chance they possibly had at making a wild card run was eliminated. There's a very good chance this game will be a hangover for them. Jets should attack early, and often, like today. 31-17 Jets. Should be something like that.
The Keys would be to: 1 - Stop their running game. 2 - Cause turnovers and don't turnover the ball. 3 - Score... and keep scoring. Also I want to see/hear a noisy crowd. Prediction - Jets 24 - Bills 10
Top 3 keys 1) Stopping McGahee 2) Stopping McGahee 3) Stopping McGahee We can't seem to do it very well.
