That should quiet the Leonard Williams haters for a while. 13M to do absolutely nothing.

Excellent shape too. Being in peak condition, those pressures #s are just astounding.

That's funny. Yeah, I'm still happy with Leo. He gets a lot of unjustified hate, and I distinctly remember people saying that the Jets should have taken Beasley instead. Yeah, it's just one year and he made the pro bowl another, but Leo has never been ranked that low at his position.

I think it says more about PFF’s shitty rankings than Beasley/Leonard Williams. Beasley is far from the worst edge rusher in the league

He does nothing on the field. He doesn't set the edge, weak in the run game and weak in the pass game. And for that season when he did do something, it was mainly against backups.

OK fine, 100 out of 103 edge rushers ;)

Haha ok. I haven’t really watched him play so I’ll take your word get he’s not good. But the guy has 30 sacks in 4 years. Pffs ranking him dead last is absurd. Our Jets started Frankie Luvu and Something Copeland last year. They are like 29 sacks behind him

Yeah, I got this from the Falcons sub-reddit, for the most part everyone there thinks he's a bust. He never really developed as a pass-rusher, no counter and utilizes only his speed moves. Then I took a look at his stats, dude's best year he got sack totals (year 2) against backup lineman and never improved from there.

Copeland had a better year then Beasley. Copeland did better last year then Fowler as well.

The ranking is from last year.
Beasley had just as many sacks as the undrafted Copeland.
If we had Beasley the board would be on fire fr the amount of torches and pitchforks trying to run him out of town.

both jordan jenkins (3rd rounder, Jets, 2016) and Brandon Copeland (UDFA 2013 balt) had better years then beasley and cost less. Mac deserves credit for the jenkins pick. as a 3rd rounder you couldn't ask for more. pairing him with allen plus mosley and williamson probably gives the jets the best LBer group in the NFL if allen pans out

Wow I did not realize Copeland had 5 sacks last year. My mind is blown because I remember like 1.

They sucked so bad that I checked out last year and passively watched games from October on. I woulda never done that when I was younger.

Ya know, armed with this new information, I was thinking maybe we don’t need an edge rusher after all. Maybe Copeland will develop into a player hahaha

Jenkins is what happens when you take blue-chip players, with leadership qualities, from top programs.
