So what as long as Darnold is better than that guy. And if you think Darnold isn't better than that guy, then you should take that guy.
Miami has 3 1st round picks... 2 are later in the draft. They could us the first for Andrew Thomas. Then trade back up and get Tua. Wouldn't be a dumb move.
@Jonathan_Vilma What do you see in the QB out of interest? https://thedraftnetwork.com/player/brian-lewerke The opening post was a top read btw
He's used to playing with a terrible team around him... No in all honesty I like Big 10 quarterbacks as backups. They're usually smart players with big live arms. I don't think Lewerke is anything to write home about but I think he can be a quality backup that can operate an offense. Reminds me of a slightly more athletic Siemien who I thought was a pretty good signing and backup. If you end up with extensive games with guys like that then you better hope you have a quality team around them. I like Nate Stanley from Iowa but man is he slow as shit if he has to escape and move. But he has a big time arm as well.
It doesnt matter if Darnold is that guy or not. You’re not going to deal with a divisional opponent to give them a chance to draft that highly rated of a QB that you’ll have to face twice. You rarely see this happen for a reason. I’m sure this is all a moot point anyways since this team rarely trades down in the first round. In all likelihood, they will want to stay put and draft the LT from Georgia.
The Jets need a better offensive line with better blocking from full backs, Tight ends, etc Otherwise Bellis talents are being wasted.
I have a specific idea on how to "use Bell better" Get some damn offensive linemen who can actually open up some holes for him. And then just like a wave of magic pixie dust it'll be amazing to see how much smarter Gase gets.
I totally disagree. I don't think doing all that in one offseason is doable or even realistic. At WR Robbie and Crowder are not enough. Vyncint Smith is almost totally unproven. Thomas will be a FA. At a minimum, we need to re-sign Thomas, and use a high draft pick (1st or 2nd round on a WR). Herndon showed promise his rookie season, but this whole season was lost. Who knows how he'll look next year? Injuries happen.
