I don’t care where the players come from. If Ty Johnson is better than Perine play him. If you Joe D is able to find a young contributing running back in the 4th round or waiver wire, it’s still a win.
I actually agree here. Perine looks slow and not shifty at all. Gore gets north quicker surprisingly and Ty Johnson has the speed to get around the edge. I want to see him more.
He held his own pass-protecting and he flashed slightly on a screen late in the game. For a 4th rounder playing his first game he was fine IMO.
When bilal came out, you could see the guy right away had burst, and shiftiness. To me I am not seeing it with Perine. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
We could have Russell Wilson at QB and we’d still suck. Like I said, worst roster of all time. Up there with browns
I agree with that--but I like he was getting open on screens and that he pass-protected. He may be a solid 2nd or 3rd rb--that's fine for a 4th rounder. We need solid players for a foundation and he may be one. With normal improvement. I like Najee Harris--do you think there's any chance he may be available at Seattle's #1 slot?
Who’s knows in the COVID era of college football and draft. Perine may be no more than depth player. Time will tell. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I’m excited either way. I liked Ty Johnson out of Maryland. There aren’t too many 4.2 40 guys roaming the football earth. I’m glad JD was able to scoop him up. Now let’s get him some touches. He’s a good kick returner too.
Actually, he got blown up on 2 rushes that led directly to pressures and this is his 4th game. Don’t make stuff up.
It seems that way so far. If he was impressing in practice, there is no way he would be inactive last week and not getting a 50/50 workload over a RB today, it’s telling. He is going to need to show some progress as the year goes on or I can see him being cut next year.
And I shocked Gase is giving so many reps to Flacco and Gore. Both over the hill, both not part of rebuild, and both won't be on jets next year (joined by Gase). Why not take a look at QB Morgan (if healthy) and RBs Perine and Johnson? What the heck do we have to lose?
Hey man--I did not notice that--maybe another can confirm your observations. His 4th game? Ya--he's played 40 offensive snaps and 23 ST. I haven't noticed those snaps--your opinion is he can't pass protect?
I watched closely in real time. I’ll give you the exact plays when Joe/Michael Nania post the play by play breakdowns later in the week since I streamed and couldn’t DVR it. He’s raw but he struggles at that so far among other things. He’s a 4th round pick though so maybe we all expecting too much out of him
Hey man--I don't need the plays + I don't have a replay anyway. Look it over again--if you say it happens I'm good with that.
