You're only saying that because I live 2000 miles away from the Meadowlands!:p

No need for any "make up". We're all just pulling for the same thing - that Joe Douglas nails this.

Mac disappointed MOST of Jets fans by not picking Mahomes or Watson in 2017. And Legler nailed Allen, to be sure, while Mac failed again. Much respect, and I would certainly pick Legler over Mac any day to be Jets GM. However, Mac is not here any longer. JD is a MUCH more competent GM, and Mike LaFleur is there to help evaluate as well. Granted, NFL teams make mistakes all the time, but I see more consensus now among actual football folks on Zach at #2 than I have seen before for other QBs Jets drafted. Even Sam was a consensus among media, not actual football teams. Legler will fail this time around, and Simms will prevail, and so will the Jets!

I'd like to see legler's completion percentage in years when only power 5 QBs are projected in the first round.

Great point! Whether we ultimately pick Wilson or JD throws a curveball and picks Fields, I just hope JD realizes that he has to surround them with talent.

I would love to see our first 2-3 picks be used on offense, or even 3-4 of our first 5 picks. Give this team an infusion of youth on the offensive side of the ball for once!

I with you, bud. I think Wilson COULD be a great QB in the right situation. If he could go somewhere and sit for a year or most of the year (ala Tua and Mahomes) and be eased in i think he could pull it off. But to be thrown in to a situation like we have with minimal weapons and a fan base expecting him to be a savior?? Na I don't think it's the right fit. Gotta hope the new FO are the real deal.
Think he's the pick tho. Rather go with Fields at this point. Honestly I wanted to trade down.

Why, because the Jets are drafting him?

Yeah, you Fields fans never take things personally, you only make snarky remarks to every positive Wilson comment for what seems to be 24 hours a day.

Well that seems to have a better track record in being right (or wrong in this case) than any draft guru or talking head has.

I don't think the Jets were in sync on Wilson until fairly recently (assuming they are in sync on him now.) If they had been in sync on Wilson early on they'd have dealt Darnold sooner and likely for more than they got.

I'm also really doubtful that JD could have been all-in on Wilson with all the questions that surround him. Maybe he got there at the pro day but JD knows better than most of us that physical problems don't go away at the NFL level - they tend to get worse.

I’m “snarky”, personally prefer sarcastic, most of the time; that doesn’t mean I’m taking things personally. When you start calling people names, then I know your feelings are hurt. If I am upset at anything, it’s at the thought of the Jets yet again passing on upside and playing follow the leader. Wilson and Fields until tomorrow night are prospects not even Jets, why on earth would I take anything said or written about them personally? That’s silly IMO.

One more day and then the feeling can really start getting hurt. I think there's going to be a record number of bannings on TGG. The internet version of the Road Warrior. A metapocalypse.

If we go defense at 23 anarchy might cut loose.

Feel like this is worse on here than when we selected Darnold.

Maybe because we all thought that Darnold would go 1 like Trevor and we will all debating the rest of them, especially mayfield.

Just hope the side that isn't happy on draft day ends up happy in the long run with Jets success. Unless you live for misery!

If we are getting a Cb1 I dont think many would flip out, unless the next picks Defense again. I wouldnt mind both first being Offense tho.

Sadly I don't think they do. Fields fans spend their day making cold calls to Americas with an offer to extend their car warranties :(
