Jets are reportedly "High" on Ryan Tannehill - Conor Hughes SNY

I'd rather have Mayfield than Tannehill. Tannehill has to be like 6th or 7th on the "most desirable option" list after Rodgers, Carr, Lamar Jackson, Mayfield, Daniel Jones, and Garapollo. He's basically a more expensive Andy Dalton.

No. Lol. I watched the Heidi game. Hope is a good thing, maybe the best of things. As Jets fans, that is about all we have. My hope is Rodgers, will see.

 

There's talk that Houston may be going QB with pick 2. It might be worth trying to get Davis Mills for cheap? He'd probably play just as well in our offense as Tannehill.

I happen to like Baker... but he would break the fanbase as a starter.

As a backup he'd be pretty nifty.

There's a reason why you aren't hearing any chatter about Mayfield and the Jets. I'd rather play Mike White than Mayfield.

Gimme Baker Mayfield over Tannyhill

At least Baker wants to Win imo...and I guess he is the King of the Also Rans

I would certainly rather have Tannehill than Jimmy G and maybe even Carr as well.

 

Mills preformed pretty well on a terrible team. Though he is still developing, if he were on the Titans he'd have done just as well as Tannehill.

More importantly, he is only 24 years old and costs 2.5 million over the next 3 seasons. This is the type of QB that could thrive in a change of environment, with more offensive weapons, and is worth taking a chance on for that price and potential upside. Even if he only becomes a backup to a better option. Tannehill is mostly downside.

Mills > Tannehill in just about every one of our metrics possible.

The real roadblock is would JD agree to sign a QB taken 51 picks after his pick 2 bust? How much does ego play in here?

Tannehill checks a lot of boxes. AJ Brown showed T could find the star WR and he’s dirt cheap in 2024. He can’t carry a team but imo the Jets don’t think they need a QB to carry them and T let’s the staff hold onto the fantasy of developing Wilson.

IMO T rumors are leaking to soften the blow if we don’t land AR.
