I'm going to be in the minority here, but I went with favorable. For two years, he was by far the best player on the Jets defense. He reminds me of Jeremy Shockey: A real pain in the ass off the field, but the kind of guy who would leave his arm lying on the 50 yard line if it meant winning a game.
I love the huge neck board he had sticking out of his shoulder pads. Let you identify him wherever he was on the field.
I'm neutrel. I loved what he did during his time here, easing the suffering when Marvin Jones went down w/ the season ending injury in TC 98. But, He still was a DOlphin for a long time, and didnt have the nicest things to say about the jets when he won his SB w/ the Pats..
I liked when he went nuts in the Giants-Dolphins game on December 5, 1993. I recall him yelling at refs and Shula in that game. I liked it when he gave Buffalo fans the finger. Otherwise, I hated him when he played for the Dolphins. I was a big fan of him once he went to the Bears and then the Jets.
Bryan Cox was a FANTASTIC JET !!! When he came he had the reputation as being a problem and he wasn't that at all. He was a winner and he brought these winning qualities to the Jets. I don't see how anyone could vote unfavorabley for this guy. He was everything you'd want him to be as a Jet and was part of numerous big wins !!! The ultimate teammate !!!
How can you not like this guy?? Who cares if he played for the Phins... He was a beast for us. I like him so much he's tied with C Mart and Vic Green as my all-time favorite Jets!!
The fact that I have his #51 jersey and often wear it when I think the Jet D needs a boost tells you that I loved his football motor. That he dissed the Jets on radio after the Pats let him go never bothered me.....it's on the field that counts.
saw him at preakness a few years back when he was there for the best damn sporst show and we reminsed on 98' a lil bit. dude is cool as shit.
Definitely favorable. He was a great player for us. The only reason he had an unfavorable opinion of the Jets for a few years after retirement was because he didn't like Herm (and who can blame him?). Always will be one of my favorites, despite the fact he played for the Dolphins.
Loved him as a Jet, one of my favorites, then I hated him when he was an analyst. Now that he's back with the Jets, I like him again.
Glad he's back with the organization. Had a rep as a problem but was nothing but a leader when he was on the jets. He had a legit beef anyway, the organization extended him and then herm got here and cut him.
