Completely wrong. Rodgers was used to having people kiss his ass and when Glenn didn't do that, Who went running to the McAfee show? The Jets were clearly done with Rodgers and his side show. Glenn and the new Regime decided to move on. Funny, but I don't see any other team signing up for the Aaron Rodgers Finale. Possibly for the first time in his life, Aaron Rodgers got fired from a job. He failed the job interview. Now he gets to live with all his millions and all his life choices but he doesn't get to fuck up another franchise.

No, an insecure little man would’ve done it over the phone. Rodgers absolutely had a chance to still be here, he blew it. There was one correct answer to Glenn’s question “do you want to play football?”. The correct answer was “fuck yeah I wanna play, I live for football, I’m ready to die out on that field!!” As we all know, that wasn’t the answer Rodgers gave. We’d literally be sitting in the same spot PIT is right now if we hadn’t moved on. Rodgers has alot going on in his personal life, just like he’s openly said. Glenn doesn’t want a 41 yo QB who’s worried about personal life problems.

if you think Aaron Rodgers was the one that “fucked up this franchise”, then you were either born in the last 3 years or are completely delusional.

You’re right, I left out the part where Rodgers failed to mention he didn’t fly here “on his dime” because we called him to come. He said he was already headed to the east coast so we asked him to stop by. Rodgers still hasn’t made his mind up and has PIT holding their dicks in the wind. Yeah, no thanks. It was a worthy risk and a valiant effort, it failed. It’s over. So is he.

Total and absolute nonsense. AR went there thinking he could waltz around his usual BS responses about personal matters and things he needed to consider first to the question do you want to play football yes or not. No real commitment, as usual, but rather than kissing his ass like the prior regime, he was told to take a hike. AR in fact is the entitled little man that went whining on the Pat shit show.

Yeah, honestly that was the only real option…just very hard to imagine a guy like AR playing for a rookie HC…new system install and credibility are just absolutely unaligned with an aging QB who wants everything his way…players, coaches, schemes, etc.

There was no way on earth that marriage would work.

This was the best option honestly for both parties.

I can see AR working better with an established successful coach like Tomlin and a strong locker room and team like the Steelers…that makes a lot more sense. But a rookie HC? No way that would have worked out well

Agree completely. Not only we had a new regime, but it was an ideal time to build for the future starting now, from the ground up. We needed youth, discipline and flexibility to make everyone better. AR was definitely not the answer, not now, not two years ago probably. As for the Steelers. I don’t quite see it as a good marriage for a man that is quite inflexible and a team that is quite set on his ways with years of success.

You sir, are obviously an Aaron Rodgers fan so nothing can convince you that AR wasn't the cure for what dysfunction the Jets have. Have fun this year while the rest of us Jet fans move on. No need to waste time beating this dead horse. Maybe pick up some Steeler gear with the #8 on it might brighten your day.

Kinda shows just how far the once proud Steeler organization has fallen. I would have never imagined they would bend over this far to placate Aaron Rodgers. Its almost as if they feel what happened with the Jets couldn't possibly happen to them because... Jets. They are in for a hard wake up this year if they do sign the Former Legend. Considering they're the ONLY team even considering the Rodgers Finale, you'd think they're in control of the situation. Obviously they're not.

Maybe they just need to fly him in (economy), have Tomlin look him in the eye and ask if he wants to play this year.

They’re fucked. If Rodgers backs out their option is Mason Rudolph or backing up a truckload of picks to the Falcons for Cousins. Ewww.

Yeah Gase didn't even need to change culture. He was the culture.

Frank Gore right up the middle for 1.4 gutsy yards on 2nd and 9.
