She did a jeans ad and the commercial's catch phrase was "She has good genes", a miniscule number of people complained, saying the phrase has roots in eugenics and called it insensitive. Some on one side, then took what a tiny number of people complained about and ran with it, acting as if the entire other side all had a problem with the commercial. The majority of the other side is probably like me and avoids commercials at all costs and likely had not seen it until the whole thing blew up. She was just the girl in the ad, and ad that was the latest entry in the manufactured culture wars.

I don't understand the "sides" thing and how they are identified. I understand some like it, some don't but only on an individual basis.
