the timing would be in our favor for once. I wasn’t around for the fun part of this current deal with Lucifer
Same. I won't feel bad passing the curse onto the younger generation... They need to toughen up anyway
I have a daughter that doesn't give a shit about football. I wouldn't feel bad in the slightest passing this burden on to another generation.
I believe the deal made with the evil one was generated when greed over ruled tradition and decided not to give the Jets their own stadium to carry the Shea legacy forward. Aside from the Rams, one time, how many teams not having their own stadium have won a SB I wonder.
Burrow’s commitment to football has been in question for a few seasons. Seems like he rather focus on his runway modeling career.
Put me down for taking a flyer on Sam Howell as starter for 2026. He'd be a very low cost / low risk acquisition. I know it was 2 full seasons ago, but the guy threw for almost 4,000 yrds in Washington behind a lousy O-line = 65 sacks led the NFL. Granted 21 INTS w/21 TDs, - but we're so damn desperate to just throw the effin ball & get some yards == WE'RE DEAD EFFIN LAST IN THE NFL W/1904 TOTAL PASSING YARDS. Its either that or Kirk Cousins because I really don't want any part of the Kyler Murray drama. Regarding the draft, - if Mendoza is there when NYJ is OTC in April 2026, - then take him & let him sit for a year. But NO DRAFT TRADEUP.
I’m in on Howell. I’d bring two guys in honestly and keep 3. I also like Will Levis. I understand the taste in everyone’s mouth here when he had that absurd fucking fumble against us. Across 21 games with probably one of the worst head coaches ever in year two, he had 5 more touchdowns than INTs and completed 61% of his passes. Vrabel Vrabel was one foot out the door in his first year when Levis looked much better but he was still throwing to an over the hill DeAndre Hopkins and then basically a bunch of nobodies. He’s a reclamation project but he definitely has raw skills.
Will Levis is an interesting one. It's a good point about the terrible teams he's been on; even here would be an upgrade. A good QB dart throw, but they'd have to trade for him.. Mariota isn't a terrible (by our standards and what's available) bridge option either. Also I'd be shocked if Burrow gets dealt. Strikes me as one of those blown out of proportion speculative ideas. Even with the injuries, he's still a franchise-changing QB. What the Bengals really need to do is fix their damn defense
Ah I thought he was a FA. I don’t think he’d cost much. He opted to have season ending shoulder surgery after they drafted Cam Ward. Not to say he didn’t need it but he didn’t have it immediately so that tells me he could’ve rehabbed it and played. I doubt he’s on the Titans next year.
If the club thinks the price for Mendoza is too high or if they don't think he worthy of the high pick they may acquire Davis Mills from the Texans. He's a good young backup looking for a starting job. He really played well this year when their starter was out. If it doesn't work they can wait until '27.
Completely forgot Levis. For some odd reason, I thought he was out of the league. Ce la vie...out of site out of mind. have to agree, though, Titans will move on from Levis. They can't have Ward there with Levis wanting to start somewhere. This is what, year 3? Leaves a year left on his rookie deal. My guess is Tennessee tries to move him prior to the beginning of the league year and, if not, cuts him and eats the salary. He's a 2nd round pick so it shouldn't be that much in dead cap. Would certainly be worth "kicking the tires."
Levis hasn’t looked good…I’d much prefer Mills who has looked good when he’s played he may be the best of the bunch of those guys that may be realistic
The fact that we are talking about Howell, Mills and Levis in 2026 makes my stomach turn but here we are.
