So you’d expect Raheem Morris to uproot his family and move to NJ for a job that likely is going to be one and done, and your reasoning is because you think he’d be a HC candidate here when that happens. Right. Morris can stay home and do nothing for 3 years collecting his HC pay from ATL. Morris has been a poor HC, but he’s a highly respected DC. He can line up any job he wants, and it won’t be the Jets. Martindale has not been linked to us at all other than Cimini ruminating that he’d be a good candidate. Glenn selected Tanner Engstrand as his OC, a guy that was passed over by Ben Johnson, because he knew Engstrand from DET. He has no connections to any offensive guys and we’re stuck wondering if Engstrand is actually any good while handing him a potential franchise QB. Woody shoupd be on the phone with Gruden/McCarthy/Kingsbury right the fuck now to turn this around before it’s too late.
Talking to a Bills fan about Bills team in Bills/Jets game is a bad look? I guess, if watching all 22 is bad, so is this. It truly does have to be bizzarro world with things like that to justify Glenn at this point. You may be a masochist, but I am not.
Glenn truthers are relentless, you are telling him about your roster that you know far more about and still they carry the water for Glenn. If anyone thinks he's on the hot seat going into next year which even the most dedicated truthers are that should be enough to fire him considering the unique position we are in.
The evidence at this point is overwhelming. Anyone with an open mind would change their view on Glenn even if they liked him at first. Heck, I didn't want the hire, because I wanted a good offensive guy and he was a mediocre DC on a team that won with offense, but he got me excited a little bit when he mentioned that 1998 season and the Denver 10:0 lead that he wanted back. That was the best year I have seen as a Jets fan. Unfortunately he failed, and it was clear to some of us earlier than others, but at this point based on all evidence, which is historically bad, it SHOULD be clear to everyone, aside from senile fool Woody of course.
It's legitimately hilarious - the same people here make excuses for our failures every year, are proven wrong over time, and never learn from it. They just rinse and repeat the excuses the next season while calling the people who spotted the failures early overreactors and idiots. Impressive commitment to being wrong repeatedly.
https://x.com/Ian_OConnor/status/2007969435307606439 This is what I was saying earlier: "If you asked the other 3 AFC East teams if they'd like Woody Johnson to bring back Aaron Glenn as Jets coach, every single coach, player, scout, and exec' with the Bills, Patriots, and Dolphins would say yes, absolutely yes. 100 percent. And ol' Woody is going to do it anyway."
Im just curious for the Glenn defenders JackBower and BroadwayAaron: what is the downside of firing Glenn? I can understand if you believe in the extremely unlikely scenario that he suddenly figures it out. But even if he pulls a miracle off and becomes competent, what exactly are you afraid of losing here? The next Dan Campbell? The currently not in the playoffs without his guru OC Dan Campbell? The guy whose resume includes a single NFCCG appearance and a loss there, making him a lesser accomplished coach than Rex Ryan? What is so scary to you people about the prospect of losing this coach??
24 spots. Of the rosters from yesterday who played the majority of the game (dont give me this garbage about Knox's 4 snaps) you tell me the best starting lineup made up from the best player of that spot for either team. I just did one. Of the 24 starting spots, I have 6 going to the bills and 18 to the jets. Here's mine: QB - Trubisky, Bills RB - Davis, Bills WR - Mitchell, Jets (these 3 receivers over Gabe Davis, Keon Coleman and Josh Palmer) WR - Metchie, Jets WR - Williams, Jets TE - Ruckert, Jets (over Keleki Latu) OT - Fashanu, Jets (over Tylan Grable) OG - Simpson, Jets (over Alec Anderson) OC - Myers, Jets (over Van Pran Granger) OG - Tippman, Jets (over Torrence) OT - Membou, Jets (over Van Demark) ER - JJ, Jets (over Javon Solomon) DT - Phillips, Jets (over TJ Sanders) DT - Briggs, Jets (over Phidarian Mathis) ER - Epenesa, Bills (over Watts) LB - Quincy, Jets (over Dorian Williams) LB - Sherwood, Jets (over Joe Andreeson) CB - Tre White, Bills (over Womack) CB - Max Hairston, Bills (over Brown) CB - Ja'Sir Taylor, Jets (over darnell savage, picked up off waivers last week) S - Moore, Jets (over Cam Lewis) S - Jordan Hancock, Bills (over Smith but who cares they both suck) P - McNamara, Jets (over Wishnowski) K - Jets, because Bills didnt have one. Torrence/Tippman is probably even. Maybe you like the Bills receivers more although I hate them with a passion. Even if you give all of those to the bills, that's still only 10 starters compared to 14 for the jets. The bills backups are not 27 points better than the Jets starters. Come on. Also... look at the Jets front 7 starters who are good, matched up with the Bills oline made up of no one and tell me how a defensive head coach allows that group to get dominated.
This question isn't a valid one because no one is scared of anything. There's a big difference between "in no way should we fire this coach" and "he's not getting fired, proceed accordingly". My own words like two hours ago:
I prefer when you're gone so I won't repost you again, but for a second time I want to share this poster had no idea if the Jets players were starters or backups during yesterday's game, let alone if they were signed off a PS for a game. Take out your opinion on the subject and think if you would use that person for analysis if those same jets players are better than the bills players who played yesterday.
Speaking of spelling things out for people... what good does having "better receivers" do if the guy that's supposd to get them the ball should be bagging groceries? And I'm sorry, but all three Bills WRs would be above Metchie and Williams on a depth chart with Palmer and Coleman probably being above Mitchell. And that's if all things were equal, which they are not when you consider the QB.
I can not believe this arrogrant want-to-be HC is stll employed. Lord, please intervene...just once and remove this bum for a comptent coach.
I was watching the game as a Bills fan, not studying who was playing for the jets. Now its easy because the snap counts are all online.
