Jets | Ramsey to be released or traded
    Wed, 28 Feb 2007 09:39:01 -0800

ESPNews reports the New York Jets will either trade or release QB Patrick Ramsey by Friday, March 2. Ramsey is due a $1.4 million roster bonus.

That's the closest I can find to "official."

Damn, wish we had bolly back...we gave up a pick for this dude and he was useless...at least bolly looked decent when he had time and was already familiar with our personnell.

Yeah, I liked Bollinger... I hope he gets his chance in Minnesota.

Other then Brooks' meltdown vs. Carolina he was decent. He would've done better had we utilized his strengths out of the pocket and not tied his hands down, while trying to salvage the season with Vinny appearances every now and then.

Maybe, but it's not like he had a hell of a team around him...

-He was thrown into action suddenly.
-His RB was Curtis Martin having a down year and when he went on IR, a rookie 6th round pick who was 3rd on the depth chart.
    -Mediocre recieving core
    -Beat up offensive line
-A large amount of players on IR or hurt
-The team seemed unmotivated at times...

If he was that lousy, Minnesota wouldn't have given up a young DL prospect they drafted and a 6th round pick for him.

What makes you say he finished 4th? Mangini never released that statement. For all we know he could have finished second but Tangini thought they could get a good deal with Mosley and a pick.

Bollinger's best game as a NY Jet was the Jets-Eagles preseason game in Aug, '05. He rallied the team from a huge deficit to win the game (a lot of garbage time though).

Having said that, let's move on. I don't miss Bollinger and I sure as hell won't miss Ramsey.

    Ramsey

Didn't Ramsey have a rather large bonus due today? Was he released? I can't find anything anywhere. Does this mean we're keeping him around? I hope not...

You guys are too nice about Bollinger. He was/is a terrible NFL quarterback.

He is a good guy off the field and at training camp, but not at QB.

Remember when the Jets absolutely dismantled Brad Johnson last year?

I'd rather the Jets get Tim Rattay.
