I AM SICK AND TIRED OF THIS HORRIBLE COACH!

Today was literally the straw that broke the camel's back... I was watching the game at a large sports bar that's primarily a Steeler's bar, and their fans (who are mostly knowledgeable football people) were literally LAUGHING at the calls made by our CS down the stretch...

Someone else made a great statement in a different thread... "Herm was clueless stupid - Mangini is try to outsmart everyone but end up outsmarting no one stupid." I am SICK of his wanton arrogance! WHAT HAS HE EVER DONE IN THIS LEAGUE?

If this were a corporation and it was performing like this, the board would be calling for the CEO's head... LIkewise, we as fans should be calling for Mangini's!

Exactly what calls didn't you like? I watch around a lot of Steeler fans and they are hardly the most knowlegeable in the game, most are toothless truck drivers.

How the hell can you build any sort of team if the CS & FO are freaking rotating doors? Good teams are not built overnight and Mangini is a new and smart coach, he will learn from his mistakes. He deserves 2 more years to try and right this wreck of a franchise.

our playcalling sux. When i see the formation and the motions, i can tell you what plays are comming on a pretty relieable basis, and i?m just a Fan that watches the games only once, i don?t do analysis, break down tendencies or anything else opposing teams do for 7 Days before they face us, its just scary as hell, when you see T.Jones Lined up 8 yards deep and you know: RUN, maximum gain 2 yards. Watch it, every time he?s lined up 8 yards deep, it?s a inside run, that gets stuffed imediatley. I don?t get, how you can do this in a League as professional as the NFL is.

But i tend to blame Sutton and Schotty. I say give Mangini another year (would at least help Revis become a shoutdown corner, and help Harris become a better coverage LB), and give him a pair of viable Coordinators. We won?t win anything next year, so i?m willing to give Mangini one more year.

Every call down the stretch?! Not going for the TD when we had the chance? The fade pattern (which we run like 90% of the time on goal line) for the 2 pt conversion?

I know the OC is responsible for play calling in most situations, but the HC has to step in when the play calling is horrendous...

How about the mismanagement of our challenges?

You mean 4th and 10 when we hadn't gained a yard on the first 3 plays? 90% of the coaches in the league would have taken the 3 and played defense, i guess they are all stupid as well. Now if it was 4th and 3 or 4 different story but it was 4th and 10, you take the points there.

I can't argue the 2 point conversion call.

When has a team ever given a coach 4 years just to get going in the right direction?

Or better yet, when has a team ever given a coach, who led a team to a record this dismal in his 2nd season or later, 2 more years to right the ship, and not ended up regretting it?

The answer is pretty much never.....

Mangini is not progressing, he is showing no signs of improvement, and, oftentimes it looks as if he is regressing....

Add on top of that the stubborn way he deals with personnel, despite the fact that he has no history to fall back on, and the fact that he seems to take pride in running 'non-Mangini' guys out of town, and you've got yourself a pretty dismal coaching situation....

This team is now mostly his creation.... Our offense is run by his guy, Schott, and the defense is clearly his....

Personnel wise, this is Mangini's team... He built it....

On offense, every starter except for Coles, Baker and Moore have been acquired or promoted to starter by Mangini & Co...

On defense, every starter except Ellis, Robertson, Hobson and Barton have been acquired or promoted to starter by Mangini & Co...

This is his team, period, and he has done nothing but lead its regression....

How has he shown ANY IOTA of evidence that he's learned from any mistakes this year? He is a STUBBORN, OVER-CONFIDENT SOB who NEVER learns ANYTHING since he thinks he knows EVERYTHING already!!! This is proven in how he coaches every week!!!

And how is he a SMART COACH? Because he coached us to the playoffs last year against a schedule filled with LOSING RECORDS???

    Mangini's dumbest call

Mangina's dumbest call of the season was during the 1st quarter of the 1st game when he talked with Jet's security and said "Hey, what's that guy doing with that camera over on the Pat's sideline?". That was a dumb move and will haunt that goof right out of football.

It's his second year, he is getting a wonderful dose of humility. I highly doubt he will be the same coach next year. That 10-6 record CP was responsible for last year did make Mangini a lil cocky, but this year he knows he needs to rethink everything. The whole Mangini guys thing needs to go out the door, we need playmakers, not United Way volunteers.

Sad thing is, next year with a weak schedule, we will show improvement, but we will not be able to compete against the "good" teams in the NFL.

Couldnt have said it better myself, and rather then executing we have to rely on coles jumping ridiculously high to get a pass, tjones making 4 or 5 defenders miss just to get a gain...

When Mangini was hired, the Jets knew they weren't getting a seasoned coach. They knew that this guy would need to learn on the job. I wonder what Woody's vision is and how patient he's willing to be. Another season like this one and I'm afraid the team will completely quit on him.

Problem is, I just can't support firing him unless there is a clear-cut, better alternative out there. I don't see Bill Cowher knocking down the Jets door to coach here.

Still not as bad as the previous coach, I'm sure Chiefs fans are REAL impressed with him.

Are these the same Steeler fans who saw our team beat them a few weeks ago and watched their Steelers talk a big game all week and get their asses kicked yesterday?

Our coach learned he can not reinvent the wheel yesterday. This is a rebuilding year for everyone and everybody associated with the Jets. Let him make his mistakes in this wasted season as well.
