I'll take it anyway we can get it as long as we're 6-3. It's a potential trap game with the pats game on thursday night.

It IS a trap game and if that asshole doesn't have them ready for it then he should be fired as soon as it is over.

Before Favre came to NY that idiot King talked about him so much that most fans assumed he had some sort of romantic or sexual attraction to the man. Now that BF plays for NY King has suddenly rediscovered his heterosexuality.

Anyway, everything you need to know about NY sports fans and life in general can be learned from Carl Bruteneldewski. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bD_elhI4gFA&feature=related

Well if you talk to people around here they will tell you that the Jets are a NJ team so technically the Bills are a different state. Besides Im sorry I dont frequent the boards of teams I dont follow. Point is that they do the same thing so clearly we are not the only ones, and if they are doing it i can guarantee that there is another losing franchise like the Jets and Bills who's fans do the same thing throughout the season.

dude not even the giants were like this....ok less than a year ago the giants hadn't won a championship...after they did that then yes they are being praised lol

but even last year giants fans werent jumping off bridges when they were blasting their coach....

some people around here on the other hand are insane...eric mangini farts and people start throwing in the towel for the year....its absolutely crazy...one ugly loss at oakland and 75% of this message board said "the season is lost." the very next week everyone was saying how we are back on track and are making a playoff push...

i'm a diehard jets fan...but i personally think jets fans are bi - polar

of course fans are up and down throughout any given year thats obvious...my point is that jets fans are so fast to proclaim no hope and jump ship...then will proceed to quickly jump back on the ship when nobody is looking leading the rally...its part of being a jets fan i guess but as someone who doesn't feed into it its borderline embarassing....

The Raiders game was nice, but the Chiefs almost loss as a sequel was amazing.

we are as bi-polar as the team. thats is why.

    There is never consistency.

The years that the Jets are predicted to do well they are horrible, and the years with no expectations they do well.

That will make anyone go crazy, not to mention they have the heartbreaking loss down to an art form. That builds character, right? Wrong it leads to chemical imbalances.

Thats how Champ got to how he is today. Love this team too much and you may end up like him.

Oh, definitely. The team play bi-polar as hell...but I see no need to weigh the past on the team like that.

The past is such a fuckin burden. Thats why I think this franchise has been smart to not really give a fuck about it, and start investing in on field performance a little better.

Peter King's article was referring specifically to Jets fans, not all NY sports fans. That's why I chose the Giants as a counter-example. It's irrelevant where the team is from - my point was just that many NFL teams' fans have the highs and lows of Jets fans. I couldn't choose any other teams' fans as an example because I'm just not familiar enough with other teams' fanbases. The only other city I've ever lived in besides NY is Providence, RI, where fans are simply obsessed with the Red Sox win or lose and have started to dig the Pats since Beli-cheat came along and started winning super bowls.

he is pretty much spot on. the problem is i dont know if thats how the majority of fans are though. i think it might just be a vocal minority. i would like to think that most of the fans are a bit more rational.

Yeah, I suppose as Packer fans we have the "advantage" of having our feast or famine stretches last 1-2 decades at a time, not single years. Translation of my semi-sarcasm: I'm not really sure that isn't actually better to get a good year fairly regularly than to go two decades with only one playoff game (and that int he strike season, with scabs playing), but if you say so. But well, maybe that's why we've learned to be more patient when things are not going well (and more appreciative when they are, not dwelling on the day-to-day, game-to-game vicissitudes).

    :rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl:
