Clowney...Why not...its not as if stuckey is contributing like was a few weeks ago when we had this discussion...at least give the kid a game to show something...and this would be a good one since they arent even planning for his speed...activate the guy dammit

He made a pretty key 3rd down conversion in OT against the Pats while getting absolutely destroyed by Mayo. Clowney is not the same type of receiver as Stucky and wouldn't replace him.

well in order for a reciever to have a significant contribution, one needs to throw him the ball....

he had a huge 3rd down conversion in NE however. Regardless I want to say that was his first catch in several weeks. Favre just has so many weapons, its hard to hit up everyone.

The emergence of Keller has taken away a lot of balls from Stuckey, who I like a lot, but I can't fault Favre for looking at Keller first.

Unless someone gets injured I think Clowney is going to have to wait until next year for his chance. Shame to. I would love to see if Favre can hit him 45 yards up field

We have way too many players who can catch the ball...i LOVE it!! But i would like to see Clowney. i thought the coaches were waiting until the NE game and use him as a deep threat, but never happened. i go to VT (Clowney's college) and i've watched him very closely. He is a great reciever and has excellent hands. i hope he gets a shot.

Do you guys see Keller being a consistent weapon for the rest of the season? Its not just Stuckey who has seen a lack of balls, Coles has very small numbers the last 3 weeks and take away the bomb to Cotch and he is also taking a hit.

Keller has emerged as Favre's go to guy over the last 2 weeks and I am just wondering if this is a fluke or if we can expect 5-6 catches for 60-80 yds and a few td's from here on out from Mr Keller?

BTW - where is Baker? Has Keller basically put him on the bench because he is a better receiver? Did Kellers run blocking get better because I dont even see Baker in on running plays where the TE blocks. Is Baker injured? I know Bubba is dinged up.

The reason Stuckey's production has dropped IMO is because of the emergence of Dustin Keller. Keller isnt a good enough blocker to be out there all the time at TE so he lines up in the slot a lot and gets passes thrown his way which takes away balls throw to Stuckey. JMO.

I saw Baker standing around the pile a few times on running plays.

Yes to all of the above. laughing

IMO Keller is the real deal, he will be catching 6-8 balls a game for the next ten years.

According to Erik Boland Cotchery has an injured shoulder, and is being used often as a decoy. Coles is on a decline. Still a good player, but not as dominating as he once was.

Keller will get a lot of balls until some one figures a way to stop it. Bubba doesn't have it anymore, and Baker will most likely be gone next year if they can find another JAG TE

I doubt that will continue to happen, but it gives us the same element that made the Pats effective against us in the second quarter last week. Teams will have to either double Keller or get killed by him in single coverage. Once they double him, Coles or Cotch gets singled up. It doesn't have to be one or the other.

Did he miss the drive Cotch scored a TD on Thursday night? Tyree like catch, fighting for the end zone on another ...

It didn't look like his shoulder was preventing him from doing anything.

bubba is coming back for this game. Keller has definitely emerged as a star and I dont see any reason for him not to keep it up. He looks amazing out there recently.

It's not that he can't catch the ball. If it were he wouldn't be playing at all.

They don't want to aggravate it by giving him a lot of catches. Lot of big football games left

That's odd, since Cotch went insane against the Pats. I know he hurt his shoulder before the Chiefs game, but he hasn't been invisible. I always keep waiting for him to come up lame. I thought for sure he would have hurt himself on that Pats TD when he extended his arm and one of their LBs came down on it and twisted it back. He's definitely a warrior.

I pointed this out after the Rams game. In 3 WR sets we almost always use the 3rd WR as a decoy or to run off the coverage. A typical pattern for our 3rd WR is to take 3 steps and turn around or to run to the side lines and stand there.

Its almost like we have no plays designed to go to the third wideout - even in a scramble situation.

This is a shame because Stuckey has no drops and almost always makes something good happen when he gets the ball. Clowny probably would also. But thats not what we are working on.

Correct me if im wrong but it looked like cotch may have injured or reagravated his shoulder injury on that stretch for the goal line..
