The organisers go to great lengths to encourage people to cheer for the home team. The British fans generally have a sense of fair play that encourages them to cheer for the home team. There was no logical reason for anyone to cheer the Saints over the Chargers, but most of us did.

Not to mention that the announcer is from the home team, the stadium is kitted out for the home team and the stuff on the big screen all relates to the home team. It'll never be the same as playing at home, but every effort is made.

There was even a game-long effort by the people there this year to maintain Saints traditions like the long "DEUUUUCE" when he carries, etc. The Chargers were booed throughout, ffs. There's no logical reason for that.

The same people that riot at soccer games are concerned about fair play?

Aren't the logos from each team painted in the EZs? Were the fans getting loud when the Chargers had the ball?

We'll see what happens. Miami is a popular team in England so that made sense, neither SD or NO have great followings outside of their home area so maybe the "home team" thing helped the fans in that case. Whatever it is it will be nothing like a real home game and nothing like a real road game.

The fans were loud when the Chargers had the ball in the red zone, that's a decent start.

I don't recall the last soccer riot, and I certainly wasn't a part of it. When was it, 1985?

Fans that have a sense of fair play sound like great people that wouldn't erupt in riots if their team lost.

Maybe a riot will break out and someone will rip Tom Brady's arm off.

I know I'd be pi$$ed if I had to pay for two preseason games I don't care about and then only got 7 regular season games.

A significant proportion of the Glasgow Rangers support is composed of sub-human scum. I wouldn't argue that with anyone. None of those people will ever attend an NFL game in the UK because frankly it doesn't give them an outlet for their sectarianism and violence. To compare anyone else in the UK with these brainless morons is offensive.

As I say, please don't conside the Rangers support as indicative of anything but their own insular braindead sub-species.

It should go as an away game for both teams (both teams keeping 8 home games).
