Great observation. I've always liked Chad. In fact he was the reason I became a Jet fan. The man is such a great pro, and role model. But he had one weakness, and ironically that was his arm. His reads, his huddle presence was spot on, his character was top-noch, but his arm was torn apart, more than once. Poor Guy. We should win in Seattle, fairly confident. Great players always shine in the big games. Leon and Thomas will bring it home.
Don with all of your knowledge please let us know. Was Favre changing the plays at the LOS against Tennessee, New England, in Buffalo or against the Cardinals? How about in the first quarter last Sunday?
I disagree with this. I never feel comfortable facing Beli-cheat. The pats are the team I would least like to face at any point in the playoffs. Yes, miami has a good D and baltimore has an amazing D. But it's not the Jets offense I'm worried about - it's their pass defense. The Jets match up poorly against teams with QB's that can throw the ball around on them (cassel, manning). Would much rather take my chances facing a chad-led pass offense or a rookie QB in flacco.
I understand those who identify playoff scenarios where the Jets lose to Seattle and still get in with a win over Miami, and of course that is theoretically possible, despite the difference in the respective records of those teams - Jets have had trouble on WC trips and have owned Miami for quite some time now, with a home game in the presumed cold to their benefit. But it says here (heh) that the Jets did not put to bed self doubts with the narrow win over Buffalo, and a loss to Seattle would very much feed into the SOJ feeling, with good reason. I think the Jets need the win regardless of playoff scenarios to get back on track, to get momentum. Look at the Giants - this is a bad time to be losing games if you want to have playoff aspirations. Plus, hey, I just want them to win.
Huh? I wasn't saying GB has lost many games to Seattle. Its about head to head match ups, and Hasselbeck is always up for beating Favre. I'm concerned about the added incentive Hasselbeck would have in this game. That playoff game Hasselbeck is remembered most for......the OT loss, was actually a really good game for Matt. If not for the numerous drops by Seattle WRs, they might have beaten GB in regulation.
I realize there are allot of scenarios that COULD possibly help us slide in. At this point its pathetic to count o\on those things.. i want to see something the Jets win outright and get in, i don't want to have to watch them lose games and count on 6 other teams win losing or tying. its stupid to even be optimistic about that possibility..If the jets lose again, they dont deserve to be in the playoffs... i could care less about sneaking in
