I've read on here that the Jets need help to get in, even if they win. I'm watching the Monday Night Miracle game on NFL Network and right before it started, they were talking about Favre, and mentioned that the Jets clinch the AFC East with a win over the Dolphins this weekend. So who's wrong, you guys or NFL Network?
Only if the pats lose, if they win they will have a better record then the Jets so how could the Jets win division??? If they beat the phins and the pats also win, then they need the ravens to lose to get a wild card.
The playoff picture is a real clusterfuck of a scenario all around the NFL. Tune in Sunday night at 11:00pm for the clear picture.
Jets Need a Pats Loss, or a Ravens Loss, for a win against the Dolphins to get them in. They do need help, and the NFL network is wrong. Sportscenter also was building the game up to be a premier matchup for the division, but it's only the case should NE lose, and they play before the jets do. Ravens play while the jets do, so the jets still should be going hard knowing playoff hopes are still alive regardless.
the NFL Networks have a direct line to the ref's meeting room where the outcome of the ne-bills game has already been decided, thus if the jets win, they win the division. plain and simple.
Not really, it's pretty cut and dry all across the league. Teams currently In: AFC Tennessee - Division Winner, #1 seed Steelers - Division Winner, #2 seed Colts - Wild Card Teams in the Hunt, with scenarios for AFC Denver Against Chargers - Winner gets the division crown. Cut and dry. Patriots - Must win there game, then get a Dolphins or Ravens loss, to get in. Dolphins - Win against Jets and they are in. Jets - A win, combined with a NE or Ravens loss, gets them in. Ravens - Win and they are in. Loss, combined with a NE loss, I believe would get them in as well. NFC: Giants - Division winner, #1 seed. Cardinals - Division winner. Panthers - Clinched a spot, need to win sunday, or get an atlanta loss, to clinch division and #2 seed. Atlanta - Clinched a spot, need to win sunday with a panther loss to secure a #2 seed and the division crown. Teams in the huntm with scenarios for NFC Vikings - With a win by them, or a bears loss, they win the division. Bears - Win, combined with a viking loss, they win the division. Technically, they have a long shot at a WC, but it's highly unlikely. Cowboys - Win and they are in. Buccaneers - Win combined with a Dallas loss, they are in. Eagles - Still alive, but need a W, plus a Buccaneers loss, and possibly a chicago loss, to get in.
I saw that last night and thought wtf too. It's amazing how many different false reports you see from major media.
Think about it. New England is 10-5. We are 9-6. Now ask yourself how we can win the division without the Pats losing? Can't happen. Mainstream media=bastards. Even NFL Network, which is frustrating.
