The Baltimore Sun passes along speculation that the Ravens are now offering Bart Scott a five-year, $42 million contract. That's $2 million more than the Jets' offer. Scott also reportedly wants to be assured that he will be the "center piece" of the new defense, which means he would be taking over Ray Lewis' spot. Scott is still negotiating with both clubs.
yes, only the Jets have to actually negotiate with players who other teams are interested in as well and are making offers to. every other team has players lining up at the door willing to take whatever pennies they throw at them.
of course they should. they should only make contract offers to players who will take whatever they offer them blindly and not consider any other offer from another team. I'm sure there are many players worth signing just like that. hey, look, our names are very similar, but different. it's like talking to the stupid version of myself.
"Oh ok Bart. Your pulling this shit on us? No problem. Go back to baltimore. Rex can you get me Ray Lewis on the phone..." Call his fucking bluff.
Everybody seems to be missing the part that the offer was FUCKIN ACCEPTED..that's why it should be pulled..I don't care wheter he and his agent weren't on the same page. The agent represents him..he is his mouthpiece..that's the way it is. All of this started after it was accepted and the Jets look more foolish by the second if any of this shit is true.
